    dana, Alice and Jake day out.

     

    Alice – wow you really have thought about this.

     

    Dana – see I’m not just a pretty face – winks at Alice

     

    Jake – can we do all of it?

     

    Dana – not all in one day sweetie, but we can go out another time, if its ok with your mum

     

    Jake goes over to his mum and hugs her.

     

    Jake – can we mum please

     

    Alice – sure, but what do you want to do today honey

     

    Jake – umm science museum, is it gonna be like the one back home mum?

     

    Alice – I’m sure it is, that was a good day wasn’t it

     

    Jake – yep it sure was it was way cool.

     

    Dana – ok science museum it is then

     

     

    Just as they are making their way out of the house, Jake running ahead and climbing into the SUV, Alice takes Danas hand

     

    Alice – thank you

     

    Dana – for what Alice? We haven’t done anything yet

     

    Alice – for thinking about Jake, and for being you

     

    Dana – my pleasure Al

     

    So off they set on their day of fun, Jake was really excited and he chatted all the way there non-stop.  Dana was chuckling away to herself as she drove.

     

    Alice – what are you laughing at?

     

    Dana – Jake, he’s just like a mini version of you, its hysterical

     

    Alice – well he cant help it if he has sparkling wit, he’s charming and incredibly cute like his mother

     

    Dana – I couldn’t have out it better myself Alice

     

     

    They arrive at the science museum, Jake is out of the car and waiting patiently for Dana to help Alice out of the car and into her chair.

     

    Alice – thanks, god I’ll be glad when I can get rid of this thing, its driving me nuts.

     

    Jake – cool look mum they have a whole thing on marvel super heroes. Wow

     

    Alice – I think you have just made his day

     

    Dana – kinda looks that way

     

    They made their way in and Jake heads straight to the super heroes exhibit, he can hardly contain his excitement.  Jake is having the best day of his life, the permanent smile on his face expresses that.  He’s not missed one thing, he’s pressed every button at least twice, and Dana was as bad a Jake.  Alice was happy to sit back and watch Jake and Dana have fun.  After about 3 hours they literally had to drag Jake out of there, the only thing that got him to move was the promise of a return visit.  They were getting hungry and decided to stop off and grab some food.  Dana could see that Alice was getting tired and suggested that they went back to the house, she would play with Jake in the pool and Alice could have a little nap.   Alice accepted

    1. I’m melting here!! Could Jake get any cuter?!! I agree with ClosetDana, I just love how he acts around Dana (and she acts around him…getting competitive over an Xbox-game…aww, so cute). Alice seems to recover quite well…although she still has a long way to go. I hope she will regain strength in her leg and she will be able to get out of the wheelchair. Great to see that Dana and Alice are getting well acquainted again. I wonder how ‘hurricane’ Lenore will intervene in Alice’s life. :)

    5. I love this story so much I just hope that alice will make a full recovery and that her and dana will find there way back to each other please post soon can’t wait to see what will happen next and great update

    6. Another great chapter I love that Jake and Dana are getting close very nice interaction between them. The date was sweet, I’m also anxious to see Alice and Dana on a date alone. I also like that Alice got tired, it’s unrealistic to have an abundance of energy after a surgery like that so it’s cool to see a bit of realism. A sweet way to end the chapter with Dana holding Alice. Great job all around! (so does this mean I have to post again to keep up with you?) :)
