    dana, Alice and Jake day out.

    Dana – coffee for me please kit.

     

    Dana and Alice sat quietly smiling at eachother, comfortable with eachothers company, they both to grab a napkin and their hands brush together, they stop and look at eachother.

     

    Dana – god this is weird, I feel like a teenager on my first date

     

    Alice – laughs – I know

     

    Dana – Al?  please tell me if I start to freak you out, or if I do something your not happy with, you know if I move to fast, because I really don’t want to fuck this up, but sometimes I just kinda lose myself and get carried away

     

    Alice – don’t worry Dana,  communication is now what me and you do ok, same here though.  Just keep talking to me, good or bad please.

     

    Dana – will do

     

    Kit stood behind the counter watching the interaction between the two women, she can see the chemistry is still there between them, the way they look at eachother, little knowing smiles.  Kit smiles, hopefully she thinks at last they’ve found their way back to eachother.

     

    Carmen’s party was fantastic, Shane had really done her proud, the house was packed with people and everyone was having a great time.  Alice did go but only for an hour, she was very tired, the last few days had caught up with her.  So Will picked up Jake and they headed back home.  Dana was sad that Alice couldn’t stay but understood.  She had to be patient, Alice had been through so much, besides she was going to see her tomorrow anyway.

     

    When Dana arrived at Alice’s house the following day, Alice was still asleep.   She didn’t sleep well that night and Will decided not to wake her.

     

    Will – Hi Dana, Alice is still asleep, I’m sorry but she had a rough night

     

    Dana- trying to hide her disappointment – its ok, she did look tired last night, is she ok?

     

    Will – yeah she’s fine, in fact I don’t know what’s going on between you two but she couldn’t stop smiling last night.

     

    Dana – blushing – nothing has happened, we just talked that’s all

     

    Will – good, I hope you two sort things out, just take things slow she’s still fragile you know.

    1. I’m melting here!! Could Jake get any cuter?!! I agree with ClosetDana, I just love how he acts around Dana (and she acts around him…getting competitive over an Xbox-game…aww, so cute). Alice seems to recover quite well…although she still has a long way to go. I hope she will regain strength in her leg and she will be able to get out of the wheelchair. Great to see that Dana and Alice are getting well acquainted again. I wonder how ‘hurricane’ Lenore will intervene in Alice’s life. :)

    5. I love this story so much I just hope that alice will make a full recovery and that her and dana will find there way back to each other please post soon can’t wait to see what will happen next and great update

    6. Another great chapter I love that Jake and Dana are getting close very nice interaction between them. The date was sweet, I’m also anxious to see Alice and Dana on a date alone. I also like that Alice got tired, it’s unrealistic to have an abundance of energy after a surgery like that so it’s cool to see a bit of realism. A sweet way to end the chapter with Dana holding Alice. Great job all around! (so does this mean I have to post again to keep up with you?) :)
