    dana, Alice and Jake day out.

     

    Dana and Jake spend the next hour playing in the pool, they are sat on the edge of the pool having a drink and chatting.

     

    Jake – thank you for taking me out today, it was cool.  I cant wait to tell my friends at school

     

    Dana – your welcome, how you liking school Jake?

     

    Jake – its ok, its different from my last school at home.

     

    Dana – but you are enjoying school yeah?

     

    Jake – yeah, one boy is sometimes mean to me, he says I talk funny, I don’t do I?

     

    Dana – no of course not, you just have an English accent that’s all.  Sometimes people say mean things because things are different. Ignore him, that’s the best thing to do.

     

    Jake – I do, mum said he’s too stupid to say anything nice – he giggles

     

    Jake – Dana?

     

    Dana – yes Jake

     

    Jake – I’m glad you are my mums friend, you are cool and you make my mums eyes smile

     

    Dana – thank you Jake, your mums a wonderful lady you know that right

     

    Jake – yeah she’s way cooler than any of my friends mums and she’s prettier.

     

    Dana – she sure is.

     

    Just then the phone rings and Dana gets up and goes to answer it.

     

    Dana – hello

     

    Lenore – hello, is that Dana? Its Lenore here

     

    Dana – yes it is, hi Lenore, we’ve been trying to get hold of you for over a week now

     

    Lenore – well I’ve been stuck on some stupid shoot in the middle of nowhere, I only got the message this morning, what’s wrong with Alice? Is she ok?

     

    Dana explained the last few weeks events to Lenore, who broke down on the phone, Dana comforted her as much as she could and reassured her that Alice was doing ok and gradually recovering, but it was going to be a long hard process.  Lenore told Dana that she would get the next available flight and would call as soon as she landed, not only was Lenore anxious to see her daughter, she was excited that she would finally get to see her grandson.

    1. I’m melting here!! Could Jake get any cuter?!! I agree with ClosetDana, I just love how he acts around Dana (and she acts around him…getting competitive over an Xbox-game…aww, so cute). Alice seems to recover quite well…although she still has a long way to go. I hope she will regain strength in her leg and she will be able to get out of the wheelchair. Great to see that Dana and Alice are getting well acquainted again. I wonder how ‘hurricane’ Lenore will intervene in Alice’s life. :)

    5. I love this story so much I just hope that alice will make a full recovery and that her and dana will find there way back to each other please post soon can’t wait to see what will happen next and great update

    6. Another great chapter I love that Jake and Dana are getting close very nice interaction between them. The date was sweet, I’m also anxious to see Alice and Dana on a date alone. I also like that Alice got tired, it’s unrealistic to have an abundance of energy after a surgery like that so it’s cool to see a bit of realism. A sweet way to end the chapter with Dana holding Alice. Great job all around! (so does this mean I have to post again to keep up with you?) :)
