    Chapter 11

     

    The two women sat for the next hour talking, expressing all the hidden feelings they have bottled up for too many years.  They cried, they laughed, they held onto eachother.  They both agreed that this was a much needed conversation, they had to get to know eachother again slowly, they both had changed over the years and of course Alice had jakes feelings to consider.  Dana was now beginning to understand how Alice felt and why she self destructed the way she did, and Alice too had some understanding of Danas fears and why she did what she thought was right at the time.  The important thing was not to dwell on the past, but look to a bright future.

     

    They knew it wasn’t going to be easy, they knew there was still so much to talk about, but both women were prepared to try, t regain their friendship and trust and see where it took them.  Both women secretly knowing what their hearts desired, but realistic enough to know that this would take time.

     

    They heard laughter outside the front door of the house, Alice recognized it as jakes immediately.  He came bounding through the door, looking as cute as a button in his England football kit, followed by his father in his matching England football shirt.

     

    Jake – mum, guess what I scored a goal, you should have seen it, it was great just like David Beckham

     

    Alice – cool, way to go Jake.  So you have fun Will

     

    Will – yeah it was great Al, and guess what, I got talking with the guy and he told me what channel I could watch the world cup games on, how fucking great is that

     

    Alice – great I cant wait – she says smiling at Will’s excitement.

     

    Dana – world cup?

     

    Alice – yeah Dana football, umm soccer world cup its just started in Germany.  I have my very own two little England supporters here, don’t they look sweet – laughing

     

    Dana – oh yeah they look cute

     

    Will – well im well chuffed, in fact the England game is about to start, so you will have to excuse us, cos we boys have a match to watch

    1. I’m melting here!! Could Jake get any cuter?!! I agree with ClosetDana, I just love how he acts around Dana (and she acts around him…getting competitive over an Xbox-game…aww, so cute). Alice seems to recover quite well…although she still has a long way to go. I hope she will regain strength in her leg and she will be able to get out of the wheelchair. Great to see that Dana and Alice are getting well acquainted again. I wonder how ‘hurricane’ Lenore will intervene in Alice’s life. :)

    5. I love this story so much I just hope that alice will make a full recovery and that her and dana will find there way back to each other please post soon can’t wait to see what will happen next and great update

    6. Another great chapter I love that Jake and Dana are getting close very nice interaction between them. The date was sweet, I’m also anxious to see Alice and Dana on a date alone. I also like that Alice got tired, it’s unrealistic to have an abundance of energy after a surgery like that so it’s cool to see a bit of realism. A sweet way to end the chapter with Dana holding Alice. Great job all around! (so does this mean I have to post again to keep up with you?) :)
