“yeah…I know…”

“do um…do you…” she stuttered

“do I like you?” I said finishing her sentence for her then she blushed and nodded “well obviously…”

“when did you know?” she asked

“when you started taking care of me…knowing you wouldn’t leave me side meant more than anything, and I dunno…it just really sucks not having you around, and when I have my freakout’s…thinking about you helps me get through them…” I told her and she smiled “…and I know I’m supposed to stay in bed and stuff, but would you like to go out with me Friday night?”

“like a date Ashley davies?”

“yes…like a date…”

“I would love to…” she said simply smiling at me “…but for now, I’m taking a shower…” she added getting up and putting her dish in the sink then she walked by my room “…ash…” she said getting my attention “…well are you coming?” she said then I smiled and got up running over to her

“hell yeah I’m coming…” I said making her laugh then I dropped the blanket to the floor as she stripped following me into the bathroom

Friday night finally! I mean I see Ashley everyday, and I spend nearly every minute with her since it’s summer now, but these three days have gone by so slow!

“hey dad I’m going out tonight…” I told him

“ok where to?”

“uh Ashley and I have a date…” I said simply

“you and Ashley? Your best friend Ashley?”

“uh yeah…” I told him smiling

“well…are you sure you can handle her?” he asked

“dad…I’ve been helping through all this the entire time, I think I can handle a normal night for once…” I said making him laugh a little

“well just be home by curfew…and if not make sure you call…” he told me “and have fun ok? you need it…”

“thanks dad…” I said grabbing my purse then I went to the front door and caught Ashley just as she was about to ring the doorbell

“well look at that timing…” she said revealing a red rose from behind her back

“why thank you…” I said kissing her lightly on her soft lips
