That night Ashley took me out to an amazing dinner, and there was no one to bother her about her drug habit, because usually the paparazzi follow her everywhere taunting her about it…but not tonight, it was just the two of us…and after dinner we went to the beach to watch the sunset…

“Ashley…tonight was amazing…” I told her kissing her cheek

“you know I could try my hardest to make this night more than amazing for you, but it wouldn’t ever be enough…” she said simply

“what do you mean?”

“you deserve more than this…more than me…I mean, you and I shouldn’t be together…I’m not the kind of person you should be with…” she started “…I see you tonight and you look so beautiful and you have everything going for you, and you’re leaving for your first year of college in two months…I just don’t want you getting caught up in well…a lost cause…”

“you’re not a lost cause ash…” I told her turning to face her

“…yeah well…I’m the girl that gets shit written about her in the magazines, and you’re the girl with the brightest future ever and I don’t want you to end up getting written about like me…” she told me

“Ashley…yeah, I’m leaving for college, but look how far you’ve come in the past three weeks…you have your music now, and you’ll go so far with all that…and even when I’m gone, I’ll still be here for you…”

“why do you believe in me so much?” she asked

I lightly laid my hand on her cheek and kissed her softly and let it linger “…because I love you…and love makes you do crazy things sometimes…” I told her and a smile spread on her face

“you love me?” she asked

“more than anything…” I told her and she kissed me

“well good, because I was nervous as hell to tell you that I love you…”

“so you’re not nervous anymore?” I asked smiling

“nope…still nervous as fuck…” she said making me laugh “but I love you…so much…” she said kissing me again
