“Ashley!” I yelled falling to the floor taking her in my arms “Ashley!” I yelled again as she still lie lifeless in my arms

She started to turn in her sleep as I sat at the edge of the bed close to her and her eyes slowly opened

“there she is…” I said trying to hold back the tears

“you should have left me there you know…” she said

“what?”

“you should have left me that night…in the hotel room, you should have left me…”

“don’t say that…” I told her “…don’t you ever say that…”

“it should be Kyla here…not me…I mean she had a future, she had something to do with her life…”

“Ashley what happened to Kyla isn’t your fault…” I told her

“my dad told me he took the wrong daughter…”

“well your dads an ass…” I told her and a small smile formed across her face “…I missed that smile…” I told her then she started to look tired again “…well I should probably go cook you dinner…” I said

“no…” she said taking my hand in hers “…stay with me…please” she asked then I laid next to her resting my head on the other half of her pillow

“ash…” I started then she turned her head to face me and our lips were mere centimeters apart, and I could feel her breath on my lips

“spence…” she said softly “…is it bad if it’s taking everything in me right now not to kiss you…” she asked

“no…” I said simply then closed the gap between us both of us giving equal passion into a kiss that neither of us would have expected Ashley tried resting above me until I parted our lips “…wait, I don’t want you to get hurt…” I told her then she looked into my eyes and laughed lightly

“spence…I’m recovering from a drug habit ok? There are no broken bones or anything in here…I promise…” she said sincerely lightly brushing her thumb along my lips then she smiled at me

“what are you thinking?” I asked her

“just how long I’ve wanted to kiss you…” she said softly kissing me lightly again
