Slowly.
She raised her head to see my eyes. Her hair was absolutely saturated, dripping wet and so was mine. The only part of us that stayed dry was the front of our bodies because we left no space between us for any water to seep in.
“Are you okay?” she asked.
“Yes. Are you?”
“Yes.”
She slid herself down a tad and rested her head on my shoulder, taking her weight off of me, pulling her legs along side of mine. I put my right hand into her hair and ran my other hand down her arm.
The rain continued to beat on us but we did not mind. It was warm and cleansing. I closed my eyes and stroked her head.
“Will you sleep with me tonight?” I asked.
“Yes.”
“Can we make love?”
She raised her head and leaned on an elbow, tenderly brushing my hair back as she spoke. “And what did we just do?”
“Not sure what to call it.”
I could see a smile curl on her lips. She touched the side of my face and kissed me softly on my mouth. “I would call it…..one fantastic fuck….”
“It was.”
“It was nice to feel passion again,” she said.
“Unleashed and powerful.”
“We had a lot backed up.”
“Too much for too long. That’s why I just want to go to bed with you and make love, slow and easy….until dawn.”
I saw lights over the grass suddenly. I stretched my head up as Bette turned hers. “Get down!” I said, pushing her head down with my hand. I saw two headlights, aimed in our direction. “Someone is leaving.”
We held our breath, frozen in our positions. And then the car reversed and went forward, down the long driveway, out to the road.
“How the hell are we going to get back in?” Bette wondered.
“We could say we went for a walk and got caught in the rain.”
“With a wet blanket in our hands?”
“We could drop it in the Jeep.”
“Oh shit! The top’s down on the jeep.”
“I forgot about that.”
“We’ll have wet seats for our long trip tomorrow.”
“I’m sure it happens a lot here.”
Another car left. The rain stopped. We did feel a slight chill. We got dressed in our soaking wet clothes. We decided to just sit and wait until everyone left and the lights went out.

YES YES YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS. I CAN’T BELIEVE IT finally…. doing a happy dance here. I wonder if bette noticed that sissee always thought about her when she fucked (not made love) to someone else. Great chapter it made me feel all these wonderfull things. I can’t wait to see how there night together goes…well I do know but I can’t wait to read it. I bet that Sissee will talk about how she feels during that emotional love making session that will take hours and hours of slow bonding together again. Amazing work..thank you!!
ps I forgot to say…that was a dangerouse place to make love..I don’t mean to get caught but the fact under that tree before you know it you have a coconut on your head…DANGEROUSE!!
September, Thanks for your enthusiastic response to the chapter. As for wondering if Bette realized that Sissee thought about her when she was intimate with other people, I think it is safe to say that during those times Sissee simply wished it was Bette who was there. And yes, you’re right about the threat of coconuts falling but with them in the throes of passion, do you really think they would have felt a coconut fall on their heads? They would just think it was the power of love hitting them from all directions!
Yahooooo! Sissee and Bette are finally together, getting something something after so many years of yearning and waiting (of Sissee). I need to tell you Sissee (the author/writer), this chapter was again beautifully written with your descriptions re: the rain, the song of Kris K (I really don’t know he is a singer, just know he’s an actor), mixed with B & S’s love-making adventure and intense feelings of one another. Wow, that’s all I can say now. Can’t wait for more adventures on the next chapter.
FINALLY!!!! It was worth the wait. Hate that they got all wet, but they didn’t seem to mind. Hope they can make their way back in so the slow love can continue & continue & continue……. Thanks Sissee!
Sissee, I hate to be as wet a blanket as the one you were on with Bette, but you are/were married at this time, weren’t you? …As Dr. John sang, “Cheaters never win, and a winner don’t never cheat.” …Bette needs a friend and you need/needed to go home to your husband and kids. Thanks
Kerbergin47, I know! I know! I know what you are saying about “finally”. But I am so happy you thought it was, “worth the wait.” You have certainly been loyal to this story and that is very important to me.
Techgal, I guess I have to take the bad with the good. While everyone is happy about Bette and Sissee finally getting back together romantically, you have shown your displeasure because Sissee , the character is married. No one can deny that fact. Yes, that makes her a cheater , just like Bette was a cheater with Candace, just like Tina was cheating on line with Daddy Oh and flirting on the job with subordinates . In fact, pick a character in TLW and all of us would be hard put to find someone chaste amongst them, even though we have loved this show since 2004. And yes, you are right that Bette escaped to go to Maui with a friend but it is what it is. When feelings last as long as theirs have, who can really and truly blame them for acting on it. I can assure you, techgal, they will answer for it and it won’t be easy for them. Meanwhile, thanks for your comment. For some darn reason I like you. Maybe it’s your name.
Bette’s Babe, Thank you for seeing how the words were put down on the page, over and above the content. I appreciate your slant on it. Oh yes, KK is a singer but he was more of a poet in his songs that were very original, rather than well sung. Somehow he got away with that voice because he had so much charisma that still comes through with his acting. As for you looking forward to more adventures, I will keep them coming and hope you keep enjoying them.
