The Adventures Of Bette Porter And Sissee Gardner Schmidt After Tina (Part 2, Chapter 8)
PART TWO: MAUI
Chapter 8
We walked through my bedroom out the slider and turned to the right, around the corner to the darker back porch. We hurried near the center of it, holding hands. I stopped first and then she did. She let go of my hand and lifted both of hers to my face. A sound escaped from my throat as I looked into her eyes and then at her generous mouth that I wanted so badly to kiss. I raised my hands to hold her wrists and then she kissed me, ever so softly on my lips with incredible restraint.
It was a beautiful kiss. It was slow and warm as if she wanted to savor it. She was in charge. She directed the pace and I let her. She had been made to feel so inadequate for so long that I knew I could not rush her. I wanted her to get her confidence back and no amount of aggressiveness from me would do that for her.
When her slow kiss stopped, I leaned back against the wall of the house. The wind was whispering in those stalwart pines behind us and Kris Kristofferson continued to sing his classics.
“I set myself down by a tender young maiden
Whose eyes were as dark as her hair”
We could hear raised voices and occasional laughter from the guests.
I put my arms slowly around her waist, to her back and waited but she just kept looking at me, blinking. Her breath was coming quickly, like mine and her nostrils were flaring, like mine.
She rested her forehead on my forehead and almost hissed my name, “Sissee….Sissee…I just want to rip into you but we can’t do it here. My God! Where can we go?“
I thought fast. Our bedrooms were too visible, especially mine with all its windows and slider plus people were using our bathroom, sometimes waiting in that area to be next, leaning against her bedroom door frame or mine. I mentioned the beach but she told me the Jeep was hemmed in by all the other cars.
She kissed me again, holding back, with another tender kiss, shorter than the first but more intense. Then another short kiss. It tasted so good I wanted more. Sweet Jesus, I wanted her to kiss me hard. I was so hungry for her.

YES YES YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS. I CAN’T BELIEVE IT finally…. doing a happy dance here. I wonder if bette noticed that sissee always thought about her when she fucked (not made love) to someone else. Great chapter it made me feel all these wonderfull things. I can’t wait to see how there night together goes…well I do know but I can’t wait to read it. I bet that Sissee will talk about how she feels during that emotional love making session that will take hours and hours of slow bonding together again. Amazing work..thank you!!
ps I forgot to say…that was a dangerouse place to make love..I don’t mean to get caught but the fact under that tree before you know it you have a coconut on your head…DANGEROUSE!!
September, Thanks for your enthusiastic response to the chapter. As for wondering if Bette realized that Sissee thought about her when she was intimate with other people, I think it is safe to say that during those times Sissee simply wished it was Bette who was there. And yes, you’re right about the threat of coconuts falling but with them in the throes of passion, do you really think they would have felt a coconut fall on their heads? They would just think it was the power of love hitting them from all directions!
Yahooooo! Sissee and Bette are finally together, getting something something after so many years of yearning and waiting (of Sissee). I need to tell you Sissee (the author/writer), this chapter was again beautifully written with your descriptions re: the rain, the song of Kris K (I really don’t know he is a singer, just know he’s an actor), mixed with B & S’s love-making adventure and intense feelings of one another. Wow, that’s all I can say now. Can’t wait for more adventures on the next chapter.
FINALLY!!!! It was worth the wait. Hate that they got all wet, but they didn’t seem to mind. Hope they can make their way back in so the slow love can continue & continue & continue……. Thanks Sissee!
Sissee, I hate to be as wet a blanket as the one you were on with Bette, but you are/were married at this time, weren’t you? …As Dr. John sang, “Cheaters never win, and a winner don’t never cheat.” …Bette needs a friend and you need/needed to go home to your husband and kids. Thanks
Kerbergin47, I know! I know! I know what you are saying about “finally”. But I am so happy you thought it was, “worth the wait.” You have certainly been loyal to this story and that is very important to me.
Techgal, I guess I have to take the bad with the good. While everyone is happy about Bette and Sissee finally getting back together romantically, you have shown your displeasure because Sissee , the character is married. No one can deny that fact. Yes, that makes her a cheater , just like Bette was a cheater with Candace, just like Tina was cheating on line with Daddy Oh and flirting on the job with subordinates . In fact, pick a character in TLW and all of us would be hard put to find someone chaste amongst them, even though we have loved this show since 2004. And yes, you are right that Bette escaped to go to Maui with a friend but it is what it is. When feelings last as long as theirs have, who can really and truly blame them for acting on it. I can assure you, techgal, they will answer for it and it won’t be easy for them. Meanwhile, thanks for your comment. For some darn reason I like you. Maybe it’s your name.
Bette’s Babe, Thank you for seeing how the words were put down on the page, over and above the content. I appreciate your slant on it. Oh yes, KK is a singer but he was more of a poet in his songs that were very original, rather than well sung. Somehow he got away with that voice because he had so much charisma that still comes through with his acting. As for you looking forward to more adventures, I will keep them coming and hope you keep enjoying them.
