“I need you every day “
“I know but today you need me a little bit more and here I am”
Tina shook her head as she looked at her partner
“God I love you “
“I love you just as much – so can I buy your breakfast ?”
Tina nodded “Yes please “

Soon they were settled in a café waiting for their breakfast to arrive. Bette took hold of Tina’s hand and smiled
“She will be fine “
Tina nodded “I know – she has come on so well in the last few weeks but she does need to be with children of her own age to be with “
Bette nodded “She does – she handled being back in LA very well “
“I could have swung for damn Alice upsetting her saying stuff. Angie is sensitive “
“She is when it comes to her momma “
“Both her momma’s “ Tina said smiling “ She is very protective of you “
“She’s a good kid – you should be proud of the little girl you have produced “
Tina smiled “I am – the most important thing to me is that she is loving and kind and she is “
“She’s adapted well to having me in her life “
“She has – we talked a lot when we first arrived. It was important to me that she understood that you were special – that you were the love of her mommy’s life and that I really wanted to be with you “
Bette smiled
“That’s funny because every time I got the chance I would tell her how much I loved her mommy and that I always have and always will “
“If she had been a bit older she might have told us to get our bloody act together “
“We did – it took us as long as we both wanted it to “ Bette objected
“Speak for yourself – I wanted to jump your bones much sooner “
Bette laughed “So there is no sympathy for the fact that I am slow starter ?”
“You got there in the end – that is really all that matters “ Tina squeezed Bette’s hand and smiled “And I am so grateful for you being there for me today. I guess this is the sort of day when it means the most to me that I have someone to share it all with “

Thaks for another chapter of this wonderful story AllyE. They are all doing wonderfully well and Angie is such a little darling. The first day of school usually affects the parents way more so than the children. It’s good that Bette totally understands just how affected by this day Tina really is and that she also has the perfect cure for the sadness, a long day of making love to her beautiful partner. Can’t wait for them to pick Angie up and she tells them what a wonderful day she has had and the youngsters she has met. Fantastic chapter. Thanks for posting.

Lovely chapter! Wow for the change that Bette went through. I mean she’s still her old self, a control freak, lists-organized woman but now she takes the time to explain and share what she’s doing which is great. Tina’s very lucky to have such a thoughtful partner in her life, they’re both lucky to have each other and Angie. I liked their sweet banters about Uni, Bette like most parents wanting her daughter to follow in her step. I’m looking to their day together, to how they’ll keep their memories afresh about how to make a baby (goofy smile) and especially for the reactions of Kit and Alice when they’ll know about the new baby. Read you very soon.
