    The one where Angie starts school for the first time…

    NEW YORK MINUTE

    Chapter 35

    　

    Bette looked across at Tina who had the most restless night possible. Well it wasn’t every day that your only child – your very precious only child started school and Tina was not handling it well. There had been a lot of tears and it was obvious that as the hour approached Tina was only going to get sadder at the start of this phase in her child’s life. Which was why Bette had quietly taken charge – she had got all of Angie’s clothes out and gone through the list of what she would need and was happy that she had everything neatly packed in her little rucksack.

     

     

    Bette had talked to Angie who was looking forward to her new adventure but was also anxious – Bette had reassured her all the she could and Angie had gone to bed happy that the next day was the start of a great new chapter. All Bette now needed to do was to reassure Tina of that.

     

    Tina opened her eyes and looked at Bette

     

    “How you doing ?”

     

    “I feel physically sick “

     

    Bette took hold of her lover and pulled her close “ Nothing bad is going to happen “

     

    “I know – she’s just my baby Bette”

     

    “I know that honey “ Bette kissed her softly “And she always will be “

     

    “I am being silly “

     

    “You are being you – she’s going to be fine “

     

    “I don’t know if I can take her “

     

    “You and I are both taking her – that’s what she is going to need. Just like both of us are going to be there when school finishes this afternoon. “

     

    Tina sighed “ I am being selfish “

     

    “No – you just don’t want her to see how upset you are “

     

    “She is going to be nervous enough without me sobbing all over the place “

     

    “I had a long chat to her last night and she is nervous but not too much. She knows she has to start school and she is looking forward to making new friends “

    1. Thaks for another chapter of this wonderful story AllyE. They are all doing wonderfully well and Angie is such a little darling. The first day of school usually affects the parents way more so than the children. It’s good that Bette totally understands just how affected by this day Tina really is and that she also has the perfect cure for the sadness, a long day of making love to her beautiful partner. Can’t wait for them to pick Angie up and she tells them what a wonderful day she has had and the youngsters she has met. Fantastic chapter. Thanks for posting.

    13. Lovely chapter! Wow for the change that Bette went through. I mean she’s still her old self, a control freak, lists-organized woman but now she takes the time to explain and share what she’s doing which is great. Tina’s very lucky to have such a thoughtful partner in her life, they’re both lucky to have each other and Angie. I liked their sweet banters about Uni, Bette like most parents wanting her daughter to follow in her step. I’m looking to their day together, to how they’ll keep their memories afresh about how to make a baby (goofy smile) and especially for the reactions of Kit and Alice when they’ll know about the new baby. Read you very soon.
