This time Tina’s tears had nothing to do with her daughter – she kissed Bette
“I remember those days as well – we have had time together but its no where near enough. I would like to spend more time with you “
Bette smiled “I would like that as well “
“You have an art gallery to run “
“I do but my gallery is very well set up. I don’t do exhibitions anymore – they are more trouble than they are worth. I do a lot of work on the internet – I could easily take the odd day here and there and spend it with you – especially as when you get the studio job you will start working longer hours – I sort of thought that we might make the most of this window of opportunity by being together. You could get the call any time and start in a few days – I would love to just take advantage of these few days I have with you “
“What about James ?”
“You want a threesome with James ?” Bette said smiling
“No – what is James going to say ?”
“Nothing if he values his job – seriously when he got together with his beautiful partner I gave him lots of mornings off and he had lots of long lunches when he didn’t make it back until 4pm and he’d had a shower. “
“You let him take time off so he could have sex ?”
“Well one of us may as well have been getting some sex because I damn well wasn’t “
Tina puffed out her cheeks “I would love to spend some time with you and you alone “
“You want my body I hope “
“Yes of course and as you say I would like to just be with you – sometimes I used to miss just wandering around the shops or galleries with you “
“So when we finish eating how about we have some retail therapy and then head back and have one another for lunch ?”

Thaks for another chapter of this wonderful story AllyE. They are all doing wonderfully well and Angie is such a little darling. The first day of school usually affects the parents way more so than the children. It’s good that Bette totally understands just how affected by this day Tina really is and that she also has the perfect cure for the sadness, a long day of making love to her beautiful partner. Can’t wait for them to pick Angie up and she tells them what a wonderful day she has had and the youngsters she has met. Fantastic chapter. Thanks for posting.

Lovely chapter! Wow for the change that Bette went through. I mean she’s still her old self, a control freak, lists-organized woman but now she takes the time to explain and share what she’s doing which is great. Tina’s very lucky to have such a thoughtful partner in her life, they’re both lucky to have each other and Angie. I liked their sweet banters about Uni, Bette like most parents wanting her daughter to follow in her step. I’m looking to their day together, to how they’ll keep their memories afresh about how to make a baby (goofy smile) and especially for the reactions of Kit and Alice when they’ll know about the new baby.
