    Kristen’s in the hospital… Bobby’s dicussion with Marco… Roxy’s Hell… The parents hear of Dana’s engagement

    Sharon – Don’t fuss over me. I know what I need.

    Sharon sat up and then got to her feet. Irwin guided her to the couch.

    Irwin – I’m at least getting you a glass of water.

    Then he leaves for the kitchen.

    Sharon was feeling a little shaky, but was relieved that she had apparently been a victim of her overactive imagination.

    Sharon – I must be working too hard.

    Dana – Or maybe it was a reaction to something else?

    Sharon – Like?

    Dana – Like the news of Alice’s and my engagement?

    Sharon – Oh my God…. You can’t be serious.

    Dana – You know I am.

    Sharon – It’s wrong and I won’t allow it.

    Dana – You don’t have a say. It’s my life, mother.

    Sharon – It’s just a phase. I know how much you care about Alice, but you’re confusing friendship with love.

    Dana – No, I’m not. Alice is my best friend, but it’s also more than that. I love her. I want to spend the rest of my life with her. I want what you and daddy have.

    Sharon – You can’t have what we have, nor will anyone ever see it as a real marriage. I know if you give it half a chance, you will find some nice young man and fall in love. Don’t waste any more of your time on chasing dreams that will never happen.

    Dana – I guess I should’ve known better to turn to you for support or actually care about what makes me happy.

    Sharon – I do care. Maybe some day you’ll see that.

    Dana – If you did care, you’d accept and respect my feelings. I’ve tried to get past your certain attitudes about people that are different from you, but I can’t do it anymore.

    Sharon – Are you saying that I’m prejudice?

    Dana – Yes…. The biggest homophobic person that I know is my own mother and I fucking hate it. I guess there is no reason for me to come back here since you can’t accept me for who I am.

    Dana walked out of the house and slammed the door behind her. Alice was standing outside by the car, talking on her cell, unaware of what just occurred.

    1. Holy moly!! Welcome back, brteyes!! I am sorry to hear what a rough year you had and hope that your father continues to improve. As to the chapter… It doesn’t seem like the time off has caused you to lose any of your skills. I like that you were able to provide an update that kept the story moving with just enough info so I didn’t have to go back and re-read. Love the additional info on Sharon. I have to wonder if there is more to her objections to the marriage. Poor Roxy. Yes, I said it. I don’t know how you come back from an experience like she is going through. Marco is shaping up to be a fascinating character. Loved more background on Roxy and Erika. Thank you for continuing the story even though the last line of the chapter makes me feel a bit queasy. Oh! And congrats to you and Danalicious. ;-D

    2. Well hello stranger, I was wondering if and when we would see you again :) May I say it’s lovely to have you back. I was more than a little excited when I saw an update to the story so I went back and read what I’ve missed! Im sorry to hear about you’re father and I really hope he continues to improve. I always think it’s lovely that you and Danalicious are together I really do :)Again Im so glad you’re back! I read the 3 chapters I need to catch up on and I have to say that the wait was worth it, I enjoyed every second of reading them. I have to say I am really intrigued by Marco and have a good feeling about him, am I right to or not? lol. I love the little bit of background your giving us with Roxy and Erika as well. Totally not suprised by Sharon’s reaction although Im dying to know what this secret is of hers!! Can I also say I don’t like the sound of the last line in this chapter, I take it David’s more than evil ways are going to come back into action with poor Alice and Dana soon enough … Ohhh!! Haha. Can’t wait to see another update when you’re able to give us one :D x
