    Kristen’s in the hospital… Bobby’s dicussion with Marco… Roxy’s Hell… The parents hear of Dana’s engagement

    Marco was tired, but not quite ready to go to his cousin’s place yet. After being allowed back into her room, Marco sat by her bedside. She looked so pale and helpless. It was hard to believe that this was a woman that no one was looking for. He was checking into any info that might lead her to someone or something, but there was nothing so far.

    He took her small hand into his and gave it a re-assuring squeeze. It was his unspoken promise that he would somehow make everything alright again. In a way, he wasn’t sure if he could keep it himself since he wasn’t sure how long he’d be here. He would find a way to make good on his word, whether it took someone else to help her. Nothing about this was easy. One of his first missions was to find the bastard and make him pay dearly.

    He could still see her eyes. Those eyes haunted him in a way that was indescribable. The only thing he really knew is that he wanted them to open again. He needed to know that she was alright. As it was now, it was unknown if she’d ever wake up. The doctors said it was too soon to tell and that there was too much swelling in her brain. Hopefully, she would sustain any kind of brain damage. He was praying for her recovery as he held her hand.

    Even in this comatose state, she appeared like sleeping beauty to him. She was pretty banged up and swollen, but he could see that underneath all of it, she was a true beauty. He really doubted anyone would be able to recognize her. It would be helpful to have a recent photo of her before the unfortunate assault so family could make an ID. It was bad to think this, especially now, but he wanted to be the first person that she saw when she finally woke up.

    Erika – You were damn impressive in the target shooting exercise today. Maybe you could give me some pointers.

    Roxy – Shooting is what made me want to be a cop. It’s one of the rare things I’m good at.

    Erika – Do you have a face on those targets when you shoot? You seem so very focused.

    1. Holy moly!! Welcome back, brteyes!! I am sorry to hear what a rough year you had and hope that your father continues to improve. As to the chapter… It doesn’t seem like the time off has caused you to lose any of your skills. I like that you were able to provide an update that kept the story moving with just enough info so I didn’t have to go back and re-read. Love the additional info on Sharon. I have to wonder if there is more to her objections to the marriage. Poor Roxy. Yes, I said it. I don’t know how you come back from an experience like she is going through. Marco is shaping up to be a fascinating character. Loved more background on Roxy and Erika. Thank you for continuing the story even though the last line of the chapter makes me feel a bit queasy. Oh! And congrats to you and Danalicious. ;-D

    2. Well hello stranger, I was wondering if and when we would see you again :) May I say it’s lovely to have you back. I was more than a little excited when I saw an update to the story so I went back and read what I’ve missed! Im sorry to hear about you’re father and I really hope he continues to improve. I always think it’s lovely that you and Danalicious are together I really do :)Again Im so glad you’re back! I read the 3 chapters I need to catch up on and I have to say that the wait was worth it, I enjoyed every second of reading them. I have to say I am really intrigued by Marco and have a good feeling about him, am I right to or not? lol. I love the little bit of background your giving us with Roxy and Erika as well. Totally not suprised by Sharon’s reaction although Im dying to know what this secret is of hers!! Can I also say I don’t like the sound of the last line in this chapter, I take it David’s more than evil ways are going to come back into action with poor Alice and Dana soon enough … Ohhh!! Haha. Can’t wait to see another update when you’re able to give us one :D x
