Susan started to walk over to where Candace was and looked down. She saw the mini recorder on the ground. She had no idea if Tina heard any of it, but she was going to make sure none of it would be heard again.
She raised her foot over the recorder and came down hard. It smashed into pieces. Susan bent down and picked it up, making sure it was really broken, walked over and handed it to Bette, who was standing there with her mouth agape at what just happened.
Then Susan walked over to Candace and stood over her. Susan drew back her arm again and Candace flinched.
“Do you need any further explanation as to what Tina said to you, Candace? Because if you do, I’m sure she’s willing to help you understand a little more. No? Good. Now, get your ***** out of here. I suggest you start thinking real, real hard about employment and living accommodations in another town.”
Candace managed to get to her feet. Her face was already puffed and bruised. She looked as if somebody hit her with a baseball bat.
As Candace stumbled out of the yard, Susan followed. She turned to Bette and Tina.
“Ladies, I hope the rest of your day is a bit more pleasant. I’ll make sure the little carpenter lady gets on her way.”
And with that they were gone and just Bette and Tina remained in the yard.
Tina looked over at Bette, who was still rooted to the spot when Tina had told her to remain where she was.
“What the ***** just happened here, T? You actually did ***** slap Candace Jewel! How did you even know she was going to be herehow did Susan”
Bette was rapid firing questions so fast, Tina didn’t have a chance to try to answer.
“Bette! Whoastop!”
Bette closed her mouth. She just stared at Tina.
“Bette, you may leave that spot now. Simon Says take one giant step forward, baby.” Then she giggled. If Bette could see the look on her face.
Bette walked over to Tina and put her arms around her.
“My God, T, I’ve never seen you be that angry and to slap someone” She stopped herself and looked down. She, of course, had seen Tina that angry and the person she slapped then was Bette.

RC…that was a great chapter. Tina slapping Candance..I thought she was going to slug her. LOL. Bette standing in the spot designated to her by Tina was funny and cute. Susan may have save Tina & Bette from Candance, but will she save them from Helena? I’m hoping she does for her and Dawn’s sake. For some reason…those eyes watching Susan are probably from Detective Al. LOL. She’s get to the bottom of this conspiracy. RC..thanks for the update. Loved it. So much action and drama.

Damnit woman! Why must you tease this way?!?!?! It’s hard enough that it was a short, but aswesome, chapter. And now you leave us hanging?

Susan tthe friend and protector of B&T, I DON’T think so. Now why would Candace not immediately so straight to Helena (swollen face and all) and report the her how Susan has double crossed her before she left town. I mean I would think that she add least want to walk away from this with something (Lets call it by it proper name REVENGE on Susan.), and I really think that B&T could have handled Candace themselves. I just take Tina to be someone who likes handling person things herself or at least within her circle of family, which Susan is not yet a member. Let’s hope that was Helena watching, please post again soon– really good stuff.
Ahhh the cycle never ends! As soon as one villain is sent away another enigmatic figure is lurking in the shadows. I’m glad Tina was able to give Candace her just desserts. Hopefully they won’t be too eager to trust Susan. Thanks, rc!
