Love Revisited – Coming Home Part 78

Susan ended the call, smiled to herself. Candace Jewel, not too long from now, you’re going to have a close encounter of the Tina Kennard kind.
Susan sat in the car and waited for the five minutes to pass. Well, at least she can tell time, as she saw Candace approach Bette & Tina’s house. She flipped open her cell phone, called Tina’s cell.
“Look, she’s just heading over there. Give it a few minutes only, then head over. I don’t want her to see you – let her have a minute or two to think she’s actually going to accomplish something. I’ll be right behind you.”
“All she’s going to get is a couple minutes,” Tina replied.
That’s all Tina said and ended the call.

Bette was just relaxing in the lounge chair. She had been reading the art magazine, but now she had her head back, eyes closed – relaxing, which for this new improved Bette Porter is an art form in the making.
Life is good, she thought. Actually, life is better than good. She had Tina, she had Angelica, she had her family. One more important thing she had and that was herself. She had been so lost for such a long time, that ‘home’ and ‘happily ever after’ were things she had stopped believing in.
Bette remembered questioning whether she was falling out of love with Tina. She knew deep down that hadn’t been the issue. She simply had lost a grip on who she was, so everything around her began slipping away.
Yeah, and all I had to do was be a fool and hurt the most precious person in my life, go through six months of the deepest despair and heartache I had ever known – to finally, finally know the truth, find myself and ‘come home again.’
“Oh, I am so glad to be right here right now.” Bette said to no one but herself.
And in a moment she was longer by herself, and perhaps not too happy to be where she was.
Hands were on her shouldersjust a tad too much pressure. Bette knew in an instant, this was not Tina.

RC…that was a great chapter. Tina slapping Candance..I thought she was going to slug her. LOL. Bette standing in the spot designated to her by Tina was funny and cute. Susan may have save Tina & Bette from Candance, but will she save them from Helena? I’m hoping she does for her and Dawn’s sake. For some reason…those eyes watching Susan are probably from Detective Al. LOL. She’s get to the bottom of this conspiracy. RC..thanks for the update. Loved it. So much action and drama.

Damnit woman! Why must you tease this way?!?!?! It’s hard enough that it was a short, but aswesome, chapter. And now you leave us hanging?

Susan tthe friend and protector of B&T, I DON’T think so. Now why would Candace not immediately so straight to Helena (swollen face and all) and report the her how Susan has double crossed her before she left town. I mean I would think that she add least want to walk away from this with something (Lets call it by it proper name REVENGE on Susan.), and I really think that B&T could have handled Candace themselves. I just take Tina to be someone who likes handling person things herself or at least within her circle of family, which Susan is not yet a member. Let’s hope that was Helena watching, please post again soon– really good stuff.
Ahhh the cycle never ends! As soon as one villain is sent away another enigmatic figure is lurking in the shadows. I’m glad Tina was able to give Candace her just desserts. Hopefully they won’t be too eager to trust Susan. Thanks, rc!
