“Do you want to come and sit in my class?” Bette asked.

“What are you doing in there today?” Jess asked.

“We are starting group presentations.” Bette said.

“Okay I will go.” Jess said.

“Lets go then.” Bette said carrying her brief case. Jess followed her out of her office.

They walked down the hallway. Jess was amazed at how well all the students liked her mom. She watched all the students speak to her and she spoke back knowing most of their names.

Jess sat in the classroom watching Bette in her element. She was fascinated she had never seen this side of her before. After class They stopped went back to Bette’s office. Jess sat on the couch with a smile on her face that she had not been able to shed for an hour. Bette sat at her desk working on grades when she noticed Jess watching her.

“What are you smiling about?” She asked.

“I don’t know.” Jess said lying. Bette gave her a look. “Are you happy?” She asked.

“Oh buddy Come here.” Bette said.

“Cool.” He said and jumped into her lap.

“Mom. It wasn’t my intention to hurt you or mama, when I left, but I know I did and I am sorry for that. I think I owe you an explanation.” Jess said.

    2. Jess’s headaches are a little scary. Something is not right here. Hopefully, the doctors are able to pinpoint what is causing them and they are able to bring relief to her. For once the entire family seems to be on the same page. Great chapter.

    3. That’s exactly how a home should be at the end of the day, especially when you’ve spend most of the time with the kids, cleaning and straightening up can always be done. Please let Jess be okay.

    4. i’ve never commented before but i really love your story… i also like jess and i hope that you take care of her… i can see a tumour somewhere in your future for her but it can be fixed… so i’m not too worried… (fingers crossed)

    5. Hey Charmed, What a beautiful family portrait you paint. After all of the hurt and anxiety love has flourished and family ties have been strenghten, Thanks to Jess and her resolve to set things straight. Why do I keep hearing DA DUM DA DUM music (a la Jaws) whenever Jess’s headaches are mentioned. Maybe she is just an angel sent there to make things right for the rest of the family? Maybe there are nothing more than a symptom of her head injury and a reminder of how precious life and love are? I will be here waiting for the next installment of your marvellous melodrama. Please continue soon. Your Loyal Fan.
