“Jess you don’t owe me anything.” Bette said caressing Jess’s face and hold on to Teddy.
“Yes I do. I get so scared sometimes. Sometimes it seems you guys are pushing us away. We used to be so close and I know we are getting back to that, but I was afraid that Ian, Teddy, and Angelica would never see you the way I do. I am close to them and I always want to be there for them. We will always have that bond, but the truth is I am not always going to be around. I am going off to school and even though I am staying close I don’t know how much I am going to be around. If my schedule is anything like it is now it probably won’t be much. That is if I get through these headaches.” Jess said.
“I know all that but I don’t think that T and I have thanked you. If you hadn’t have brought us to our senses we might have missed seeing our kids growing up and then we would turn around and they would be all grown up and going off to college.” She said.
“Come on you do know that you are going to have kids in the house for oh I don’t know 16 years. That would make you what….” Jess said.
“ah ah. Don’t go there and I know.” Bette said.
“That would make you 59.” Teddy said.
“Excellent. Great timing bro.” Jess said giving him a high five. They both started laughing.
“Well I don’t think that is very funny.” Bette said.
“No but your face was funny Mommy.” Teddy said.
“Yeah it was classic.” Jess said.
“Ha ha.” She said.
“Okay lets go. We have to pick Ian and Angelica up tonight.” Bette said.
“Is Mama working late again?” Teddy asked.
“Yeah buddy she has a late meeting tonight.” Bette said.
“But she promised that she would read to us tonight.” Teddy said sadly.
“I know buddy and she would if she could, but the meeting just came up.” Bette said.
“Okay.” He said.
“Does this mean we get to eat at the Planet for dinner?” Jess asked.

Jess’s headaches are a little scary. Something is not right here. Hopefully, the doctors are able to pinpoint what is causing them and they are able to bring relief to her. For once the entire family seems to be on the same page. Great chapter.
That’s exactly how a home should be at the end of the day, especially when you’ve spend most of the time with the kids, cleaning and straightening up can always be done. Please let Jess be okay.

i’ve never commented before but i really love your story… i also like jess and i hope that you take care of her… i can see a tumour somewhere in your future for her but it can be fixed… so i’m not too worried… (fingers crossed)
Hey Charmed, What a beautiful family portrait you paint. After all of the hurt and anxiety love has flourished and family ties have been strenghten, Thanks to Jess and her resolve to set things straight. Why do I keep hearing DA DUM DA DUM music (a la Jaws) whenever Jess’s headaches are mentioned. Maybe she is just an angel sent there to make things right for the rest of the family? Maybe there are nothing more than a symptom of her head injury and a reminder of how precious life and love are? I will be here waiting for the next installment of your marvellous melodrama.
