Life with Mom and Tina Ch 66

    Previously:

“I will be right here I am not going anywhere I promise. Never again.” Bette said. Jess took the pills and laid her head in Bette’s lap. Bette stoked her hair until she fell asleep.

    Home: 8:30

Bette walked in the front door carrying Jess’s suitcase. Jess walked in behind her rubbing her temples. Bette walked into the kitchen.

Tina ran in from the kitchen. She pulled Jess into a huge hug. She smiled when she smelled Jess’s hair.

“Oh Baby I missed you so much.” She said looking into Jess’s eyes.

“I missed you too.” Jess whispered.

    “What’s the matter?” Tina asked.

“I have a headache.” She whispered sitting on the couch.

“Are the boys asleep?” Bette asked quietly.

“Yeah they just fell asleep.” Tina said.

Bette sat down on the couch with a hot wash cloth.

    “Here sweetie.” She said.

Jess laid her head in Bette’s lap. Bette put the cloth on Jess forehead and eyes.

Bette had called Tina to come get Teddy on her way home. She had also told her what was going on.

“I called Dr. Hill. He said we could come in the morning after we dropped the boys and Angelica off.” Tina said lifting Jess’s legs into her lap.

Bette stoked Jess’s hair with one hand and held Tina’s with the other. We got our little girl back. She mouthed to Tina. I know. Tina mouthed back with a huge smile.

“Jess do you mind if I watch a rough cut of a movie the studio is putting out?” Tina asked.

“No I don’t care. As long as it isn’t loud.” Jess said content and happy despite her headache.

    Tina cut the movie on.

“What’s the movie about?” Bette asked.

“Its about this princess who lives in magical land. She is thrust into a life of servitude when her mother the queen decides that the princess needs to know what it like to not have every thing given to her when she wants it. Its a family movie.” Tina said.

“Oh okay.” Bette said and looked down at Jess.

“I wanted to watch it and then let the boys see and tell me what they think. Its kind of rough so lets see.” Tina said.

    2. Jess’s headaches are a little scary. Something is not right here. Hopefully, the doctors are able to pinpoint what is causing them and they are able to bring relief to her. For once the entire family seems to be on the same page. Great chapter.

    3. That’s exactly how a home should be at the end of the day, especially when you’ve spend most of the time with the kids, cleaning and straightening up can always be done. Please let Jess be okay.

    4. i’ve never commented before but i really love your story… i also like jess and i hope that you take care of her… i can see a tumour somewhere in your future for her but it can be fixed… so i’m not too worried… (fingers crossed)

    5. Hey Charmed, What a beautiful family portrait you paint. After all of the hurt and anxiety love has flourished and family ties have been strenghten, Thanks to Jess and her resolve to set things straight. Why do I keep hearing DA DUM DA DUM music (a la Jaws) whenever Jess’s headaches are mentioned. Maybe she is just an angel sent there to make things right for the rest of the family? Maybe there are nothing more than a symptom of her head injury and a reminder of how precious life and love are? I will be here waiting for the next installment of your marvellous melodrama. Please continue soon. Your Loyal Fan.
