Sam disagreed. “Nah, I think it was karma.”
That gave Bette pause. She couldn’t argue with that. “Keep the change.” She told the cashier before walking off with her purchase, Sam right by her side.
“Thank you, have a great day!”
The young cashier’s chirpy voice rang out just before the glass doors closed behind them with a soft thud. A great day, huh? Bette snorted, a smirk playing on her lips. “Yeah, good luck with that.” She shared a knowing look with Sam before taking out the pair of sunglasses hanging on the side of her purse and wearing it to shield her eyes from the desert sun. The day had barely just begun and already they had gone through one disaster after another – from seemingly minor, major and everything in between. To even wish that it would go from that to great wasn’t just wishful thinking by this point in time – it was purely delusional. And how were they taking all of this? Well, it was normal to expect that they’d be throwing a fit after the fifth or so mishap. Their reputation for dramatics and violent outbursts (well, hers more so than her friends) just about cemented that in people’s minds. That being said, it was strange how calm they were despite present circumstances. Honestly, they didn’t mind that much. Misadventures was one of the things they had anticipated when they went off on this roadtrip. No sense getting themselves worked up for something they had the foresight to anticipate days before.
Taking their sweet time, the two friends crossed the parking lot and made their way to the small rundown structure serving as restrooms on the other side of the rest stop. Their ride was parked nearby, and their friends held court somewhere else. Shane was sitting by the curb, soaking up the sun. And Alice – well, one would just have to follow the trail of vomit on the pavement to know where she was.
“Breadcrumbs.” Sam murmured to herself at the icky sight.
“Puke crumbs.” Bette amended just as quietly.
The two shuddered in disgust.
“Did you get it?” Shane stretched her arms out and yawned, looking up at the two who had just joined her.

Your last update was so long ago.I have read JTG from start to finish after it was recommended to me.It has been a most enjoyable read.One of the best FF i have read.I really hope you can find it in you to finish it off.I just can’t imagine what you will have happen on their actual Wedding Day laughs a plenty i would imagine so please post very soon.x

I’ve been waiting for this update like forever! it is the best Thanksgiving gift ever, so thank u ;DEvery time I read ur stories my kids thinks that I’m crazy because I laugh by myself and they wouldn’t guess why, LOL. the male strippers part was hilarious ;D

I hadn’t read this story since the first time it came out and I just have to say that re-reading it from begining to finish was just as enjoyable as I remember! This story is by far one of my favourite stories on this site and in existence.
Although I was a little sad to see that Part 3 of the wedding road trip never made an update. I would love to see this story continued one day. Thank you for your wonderful writing!
