“I could’ve taken him on.” A cocky Bette harrumphed as soon as he was out of earshot, which of course, elicited a knowing smirk from Sam.
“No doubt. But then he would’ve dragged your ass to the station. And then where would you be?”
“In prison?”
“Exactly.” Sam grabbed a red bottle of Gatorade from the fridge. She threw it over to Bette – who caught it before it fell to the floor. “You’re getting married in a few days, what kind of friend would I be if I allowed you to be thrown in jail over a stupid bottle of Gatorade?”
“Not a good one.” Bette acquiesced, albeit reluctantly.
“Right. Plus, orange jumpsuits aren’t a flattering look on you – or me for that matter.” Sam shrugged and led the other girl to the cashier by the shoulders. Bette’s picture at the front page of InTouch caught her eye when they passed by the magazine rack. Sam gave out a low, throaty laugh and pointed it out to Bette. As expected, her friend made a face, rolled her eyes and stalked towards the cashier on her own. The press often used three H’s as descriptors for Bette. Heiress, hot and hot-headed. Those words were just about the only true things they printed about her bestfriend. This time, the paparazzi picture of a frowning Bette only supplemented the rag’s fabricated F4 story of the week (Hot-headed heiress threatens a journo!). A chuckling Sam caught up with Bette and draped an arm around her shoulders. “See? People already think you’re ill tempered. An arrest for assault would’ve wiped away all doubts.”
“Please.” Bette scoffed, placing the items they were tasked to buy on the counter. “I think people no longer hold any illusions about my temper.”
“Well, yeah.” Sam agreed with a shrug. She offered to pay but found her hand gently slapped away instead. “I guess the cat’s been out of the bag ever since some of our disciplinary records at Redwind got leaked.”
“Seriously, I didn’t even know they kept records!” Bette groused, pulling out bills from her wallet and slamming it on the counter. “Did you?”
“Nope.”
“I mean, one would think that the ridiculous amounts of money our families funneled into the school all those years ago would’ve been enough to expunge all evidence of our mistakes. Clearly, we thought wrong.” She griped. “I think it was Kroll’s way of payback.”

Your last update was so long ago.I have read JTG from start to finish after it was recommended to me.It has been a most enjoyable read.One of the best FF i have read.I really hope you can find it in you to finish it off.I just can’t imagine what you will have happen on their actual Wedding Day laughs a plenty i would imagine so please post very soon.x

I’ve been waiting for this update like forever! it is the best Thanksgiving gift ever, so thank u ;DEvery time I read ur stories my kids thinks that I’m crazy because I laugh by myself and they wouldn’t guess why, LOL. the male strippers part was hilarious ;D

I hadn’t read this story since the first time it came out and I just have to say that re-reading it from begining to finish was just as enjoyable as I remember! This story is by far one of my favourite stories on this site and in existence.
Although I was a little sad to see that Part 3 of the wedding road trip never made an update. I would love to see this story continued one day. Thank you for your wonderful writing!
