    Match maid in heaven..

     

    “Ewwwww..” Bette made a face.

     

    “Done..” Tina smiled after a few seconds, letting go of Bette’s finger and wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.

     

    “Why the heck did you do that?”

     

    “What? It’s just blood..” Tina shrugged it off. It was just a teeny tiny amount, nothing to be grossed about out in her opinion. She’s done it numerous times before when she hurt herself as a child. “Just be thankful that I cleaned it up for you.”

     

    “Okay..” Bette mumbled, looking at her finger in disgust. “Thank you so much..” She told the blonde. “..for sucking up all the blood from the mosquito I just killed.”

     

    “…”

     

    “Kennard?” Bette waved a hand in front of Tina’s frozen face. “You okay?”

     

    “BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!!!!”

    DAY FIVE.

    Porter Estate, Weschester County NY

     

    “You’re early..”

     

    “I didn’t want to be late.” A beat. “Is she still..?”

     

    “Pretty much. Haven’t heard a single peep from upstairs. Last night’s drinking session with the girls must have really worn her out.”

     

    “It did. She was already asleep half-way through brushing her teeth. I had to carry her to bed.” A worn sigh. “Well, I better get going. Later, James.”

     

    “Likewise Miss Tina.” James smiled at the young maid as she hurried up the stairs. “And oh, good luck!” He gave her the thumbs up, knowing how much someone with a task such as hers would need it. The blonde returned his gesture with a grateful nod before she disappeared into the floor above. James smiled, rolled up the morning paper in his hands and shook his head in amusement. Sonja and her ploys.

     

    A pair of quiet feet tiptoed through the third floor hallway, mindful of not making even the tiniest sound. Stealth was integral, discreteness was a must. With extra careful movements, she twisted the doorknob slowly and opened the heavy door with the gentlest push. She took a tentative peek inside the darkened room, and when she saw no signs of movement from within, she crept right in and closed the door softly behind her. It clicked loudly into place, making her flinch and freeze. Shit, she bit her lower lip, looking anxiously at the bed. The lump underneath the covers did not stir – and she released a grateful breath. One by one, she removed her shoes from her feet and set them on the floor, preferring to walk around the room barefoot to minimize the noise.

There are so many examples of your unique humor from Bette’s admission of her love for Tina to Tina’s drooling conversation with Bette concerning her breath. Awesome.
