Like women possessed, the army of maids rushed to the rack and took out the uniforms with their names on it, marveling at the stylish design and the smoothness of the fabrics used.
Tina stared weakly at her new clothes. Even if she didn’t go against Bette a while ago, she was sure that she’d still be given this same dress. Shit. She massaged her temples and sighed, regretting the time she indulged in just about every fattening thing she could get her hands on. Fitting into this dress was going to be torture. Oh well.. she’s a weed. And weeds fit into just about anything. Right?

“So where is she?” Sam moved one of her bishops across the checkered board. “Check.”
“Not so fast.” Bette moved her king from harm’s way. “I already sent for her. She’s on her way..”
“I can’t believe you really made her your maid..”
“Blame it on Sonja.”
Sam chuckled in amusement. “And I thought Alice liked to meddle..”
“The old whale trumped Al this time.”
“Absolutely.” Sam agreed. “Damn.” She flinched when Bette ate her horse.
“You should have seen that one coming.” Bette chided.
A soft knock on the door made the two bestfriends look up from their game of chess. “Come in..” Bette called out, wagging her brows at Sam.
A meek Tina entered, head bowed down, gripping at the hem of her uniform consciously. She felt so exposed in this thing – and two pairs of brown eyes had to agree.
“Wow..” Sam whistled like a wolf in appreciation, looking at the blonde up and down, taking in the marvelous sight. “You look gr-” Thwack! “Owwwwwwwwwww!!!”
“Whoops, my hand slipped.” Bette muttered snidely, giving her bestfriend the evil eye.
Sam rubbed her cheek. “Sorry..” She apologized weakly. “Hey Tina!” She waved a hand at the blonde.
A quiet Tina just returned the greeting with a nod.
“Come here..” Bette waved her over.
Tina obliged.
“Spin for me.” Bette ordered. Once again, the blonde did as she was asked. “Very nice..” She murmured to herself, liking what she saw. Damn, she looked so hot!

this installment had me literally wheezing with laughter! so many one-liners i had to read again, they were just so good. so funny and sweet, our two stubborn soulmates – the maid scenario was a tricky proposition and you pulled it off brilliantly :-) this story is one of a kind. belated birthday wishes alchemy – i hope it was a great one – and i can’t wait for the next post

This was the first I have read of your story. I read this whole post in one sitting. I will have to go back and read all the other post. Nothing else is going to being getting done around here until I’m caught up. :)This was crazy fun in places. Bette is so mean and sarcastic but this has been a fun read. Thanks for the post.

Oh I haven’t laughed that hard in quite a while. Alchemy that was just an amazing chapter, all of it. There are so many examples of your unique humor from Bette’s admission of her love for Tina to Tina’s drooling conversation with Bette concerning her breath. Awesome.
