    Author Notes:

    “Wait Dane if you’re going to strip in front of us, let me get the ones from my purse,” Alice said trying to paddle over to the edge of the pool.

     

    “Why doesn’t Fairbanks get a warning,” Beth asked with a pout?

     

    “Cause she’s not a gossip like you two.” Looking down at his watch Scott too said it was time to go.

     

    “Can I catch a ride home with you,” Beth asked hoping to get more info out of Scott in the car ride? Receiving an affirmative nod the two head out both saying, “See you guys Monday,” to Dana and Harrison.

     

    After they were out of sight Dana threw her racquet. “Why is that I end up feeling like the asshole after putting up with 3 fucking hours of dyke-this and dyke-that? ERG!”

     

    “You didn’t know,” Harrison said with a shrug as Dana walked across the court to pick up her racquet.

     

    “Doesn’t make me feel any better,” the brunette responded while checking to see if there was any damage to her racquet. Of course there was. “Dammit, this is what I get for losing my temper- a pissed off friend and a dented racquet.”

     

    After a beat of two Harrison began, “So have you talked to Lar…”

     

    “No. I haven’t spoken or seen her still. I don’t want to… out of sight out of mind and all that.”

     

    “Yeah because that seems to be working well,” the blond boy said nodding.

     

    Sighing Dana said, “I’m over the whole fact we’re not dating any sure, fine, whatever. But it’s two months later and I am just so pissed to have it all thrown back in my face, you know? I keep thinking of all these great things I could have… should have said at her apartment. But…” Shaking her head Dana stopped. “Forget it…”

     

    The two tennis partners started to pick up the gear and as they started walking off the court Harrison asked, “Why is that you cuss so much more on the courts? I mean when I heard Alice and Shane teasing you about dropping the f-bomb I just wanted to invite them to one of our work outs. You curse more than a drunken pirate!”

     

    “A drunken pirate,” Dana questioned with a raised eyebrow?

     

    “A drunken pirate,” he confirmed solemnly with a nod.

    “About time you got here,” Alice exclaimed from her float in the middle of Bette and Tina’s pool!

Yay for Dana finally realizing what we all knew. I wonder if she is going to do anything about it… I hope that this is the “something” (yes, I happen to agree with Shane, lol) that will motivate Dana to make some steps towards being out. Great update, anionayo! And just in case it wasn’t obvious yet, I really love the story :)

    2. Too Late…I think that is my favorite line of this chapter. I mean drunken pirate is really good. But the other is romantic. Love the story can’t wait for more

    3. The pool scene was a lot of fun. Loved D teaching A how to dance. You are doing a terrific job bringing them together. I have to disagree with AJ. imo, the pace is just right. As a matter of fact, I wish you could go back to their double dating. There had to be at least a couple of laughs. Well done and thank you, anionayo.     5. Woo hoo! Now I am glad I had to work stupidly late this evening/morning! Love how you describe Dana at the beginning and all she has to go through and think about to hide her sexuality and all the frustration — so true. Dana’s ongoing reaction to the Lara break-up is very well portrayed, too. “Drunken pirate” — Hee! The interaction between all the girls at the pool was great. Love how Alice could read Dana’s mood. The impromptu dance lesson was genius. “Too late”, indeed. Excellent chapter, anionayo! Oh! And you and AJ better play nice, y’hear? ;-D

I’m really enjoying watching how you are building the relationship between Al and Dane…but im just a little impatient. GET IT ON ALREADY!
