Chapter 20-
“Fucking dykes,” Jeff said nodding his head towards a two woman holding hands as they walked.
“What one of them shot you down or something,” Scott joked, taking a drink from his water bottle before setting it down on the bench? “Personally, two chicks together…it’s fucking hot. Maybe they’ll let us watch. What about you Harrison?”
“What is it about men’s obsessions with lesbians,” Beth asked bouncing a tennis ball on her racquet up in the air trying to see how many she could do? “Just get over it.”
“Hey I couldn’t give a shit. I thought we were going to play tennis,” Harrison said waving his racquet to emphasize his point. “Where the hell is Peter?”
“He’s running late,” Dana said entering the conversation now that the subject had changed to a topic that didn’t make her want ram her racquet down anyone’s throat. This was not the first and probably wouldn’t be the last bullshit conversation she’d have to endure about ‘dykes.’ It still didn’t stop her from being pissed.
Taking a calming breath, the brunette continued, “He’ll be here soon. Why don’t we just practice our serves until he gets here?”
“Who died and made you the coach,” Jeff said with a snort?
Dana looked from him to Scott and back again, “Are you spending too much time with Scott or something? What the fuck is your problem today Jeff? Usually it is Scott who’s the fucking irritating asshole.”
Sighing, Jeff said, “Sorry…look..I don’t want to talk about it. Let’s just practice our serves like you suggested.”
As Dana and Harrison walked over to one of the courts, the blonde boy took the opportunity to fill in Dana on the latest gossip. “So apparently the reason Jeff-y-poo has his boxers in a bunch is that he caught his girl in bed with another girl. Guess who the other girl was?”
“Who,” Dana said before her first serve?
Right as she tossed the ball up in the air and was about to hit it, Harrison said, “Shane” causing Dana to miss the ball and give her friend a shocked look.
“Our Shane,” Dana questioned in a whisper casting a quick glance to where Beth, Jeff, and Scott were practicing?

The Elaine Dance? Are you talking about this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xi4O1yi6b0 ? LOL… I LOVE Elaine… Do you have a picture of Dana teaching Al to dance? Yay for Dana finally realizing what we all knew. I wonder if she is going to do anything about it… I hope that this is the “something” (yes, I happen to agree with Shane, lol) that will motivate Dana to make some steps towards being out. Great update, anionayo! And just in case it wasn’t obvious yet, I really love the story :)
Too Late…I think that is my favorite line of this chapter. I mean drunken pirate is really good. But the other is romantic. Love the story can’t wait for more
The pool scene was a lot of fun. Loved D teaching A how to dance. You are doing a terrific job bringing them together. I have to disagree with AJ. imo, the pace is just right. As a matter of fact, I wish you could go back to their double dating. There had to be at least a couple of laughs. Well done and thank you, anionayo. Woo hoo! Now I am glad I had to work stupidly late this evening/morning! Love how you describe Dana at the beginning and all she has to go through and think about to hide her sexuality and all the frustration — so true. Dana’s ongoing reaction to the Lara break-up is very well portrayed, too. “Drunken pirate” — Hee! The interaction between all the girls at the pool was great. Love how Alice could read Dana’s mood. The impromptu dance lesson was genius. “Too late”, indeed. Excellent chapter, anionayo! Oh! And you and AJ better play nice, y’hear? ;-D

I’m really enjoying watching how you are building the relationship between Al and Dane…but im just a little impatient. GET IT ON ALREADY!
