    Meant to be together?

    "No,uhmm but yesterday night I saw a message that my father sent to her. He stated that Dane knew how to bargain and asked her to take something from his office. I guess it’s about the money" Alice sniffed.

    Bette and Shane frowned at Alice’s remarks. "How you came across the message?" Shane asked.

    "Dane left it in my apartment." The group now looked at Alice, as if to ask for more information.

    "Ok, Dane stayed to look after me when I had hangover after the night at Milk two days ago.She slept on the couch and left her cell there."

    "What did you guys do for the whole day?" Shane asked again. Bette and Shane observed Alice’s demeanor closely.

    "Do I really have to tell you about it? I am over this, really" Alice said in between sobs.

    "Alice we just want to help you. You let us know what happened so that we could tell whether or not Dane was lying to you" Shane squeezed Alice’s hand to give assurance.

    Alice nodded and close her eyes to compose herself. She exhaled and continued "Well, she brought me for shopping,lunch, movie and to the beach. We were having a great time, really. We talked about our previous relationships and she didn’t seem to mind about me having to slept with 8 person before this" she sniffed "We kissed for like hours with her caressing and whispering sweet words into my ears…."tears flowing down her cheeks again.

    "Then she sent me home."

    "You guys had sex?" Carmen asked. Alice looked at her, annoyed.

    "No,I invited her over but she declined.Then she gave me this" Alice took off her watch and gave it to Carmen. She sighed and passed it to Shane. Shane had a look and passed it to Bette.

    "Hmm, this is the watch that you wanted right?" Shane asked.

    "Yeah" Alice can just whispered.

    "Then what happened?" Bette asked.

    "This morning I plot on asking Dane and my father to go to the same cafe. I caught them barehanded talking to each other. They couldn’t deny anymore. I ran and Dane chased after me. We argued, then I slapped her…twice" Alice whispered on the last word.

    "She slapped you back?" Tina asked with concern.

    1. Why the question mark after “Meant to be together”? Of course they are!!! and to eternity. lol. Thank you the gang’s wisdom. Nice touch with the inscription on the watch. Now A must go make nice to D. I hope it would not be too late that D had given up therefore packed up and left. It was a small set back even though she was slapped twice. btw, that was pretty harsh. I hope D would have stopped crying when A got to her hotel. A did not want a “cubby, clumsy and always crying girly girl.” Then again, that was 20 years ago, D had become a wonderful & caring person. So A could easily erase that childhood image. Please, happy Danish?! lots and lots!!! Thank you very much, uhhuh. This is another great update.

    3. What a great chapter!! So emotional… That was a pretty good plan on Alice’s part to get both her father and Dana at the restaurant. I thought Dana might have a chance when she chased Alice out of the restaurant, but, Alice was obviously not ready to listen. I am glad William had the sense to call Bette and that the friends found Alice before anything bad could happen. Thank goodness for them to have talked Alice back down and found the inscription on the watch. 30 shots leftover? Hee! I am so looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks so much, uhhuh!!
