"Alice, what are you doing here?" Shane tapped on Alice’s shoulder. Alice turned over and looked at them. She grinned at them.
"Hey, glad you guys are here. Join me" they can tell from Alice’s eyes that she had been crying the whole day.
"Hey, 30 shots of tequillas, please" Alice talked to the bartender. The group decided to do something.
"Ok Al, let’s sit at the sofa over there" Bette pointed the place to Alice. Tina and Carmen help Alice to get up and lead her to the sofa while Shane paid and bring the tray over.
As soon as they sat down, Bette began to talk. "Alice, what happened? You got to tell us."
"Yes, baby, what happened to you? We are worried sick about you, and your dad too" Tina said, brushing Alice’s hair. Upon hearing this Alice’s eyes became teary.
"Don’t mention about him anymore" Alice’s said as her tears flowing down her cheek. They all were suprised on this. But they decided to have Alice talked it over tonight.
"Al, you need to tell us, we are your friends" Carmen said while wiping the tears away from Alice’s cheek.Alice looked at them, and then she leaned onto Tina’s shoulder. She shook her head.
"Dane, Dane lied to me" she sobbed in between her words. "My dad hired her to lie to me."
"Why would your dad do this to you?" Shane asked, her face wrinkled. Alice sniffed.
"He…he wanted to get me heart broken so that I would give up fighting and relented into marrying the Fairbanks" Their jaws dropped upon hearing this.
"Who’s…Fairbanks?" Bette asked.
"She’s my fucking fiancee" Alice looked at them. Knowing that the group was puzzled now, she continued.
"It was our grandfathers’ wish to get us married and became one family. I just knew it recently. My father kept it from me for 13 fucking years. But, I don’t love her! I haven’t seen her since 20 years ago, god!" Alice frowned as she cried softly.
Bette looked at the rest of the group and shook her head. This was too complicated. Shane and Carmen looked at each other, both didn’t know what to do.
"So, what did Dane told you? She admitted she lied to you?" Tina asked, still brushing Alice’s hair to comfort her.

Why the question mark after “Meant to be together”? Of course they are!!! and to eternity. lol. Thank you the gang’s wisdom. Nice touch with the inscription on the watch. Now A must go make nice to D. I hope it would not be too late that D had given up therefore packed up and left. It was a small set back even though she was slapped twice. btw, that was pretty harsh. I hope D would have stopped crying when A got to her hotel. A did not want a “cubby, clumsy and always crying girly girl.” Then again, that was 20 years ago, D had become a wonderful & caring person. So A could easily erase that childhood image. Please, happy Danish?! lots and lots!!! Thank you very much, uhhuh. This is another great update.
Hi, the update was super and it’s going to be funny to read how Alice is going to make that one up to Dana…With the slapping and all…
What a great chapter!! So emotional… That was a pretty good plan on Alice’s part to get both her father and Dana at the restaurant. I thought Dana might have a chance when she chased Alice out of the restaurant, but, Alice was obviously not ready to listen. I am glad William had the sense to call Bette and that the friends found Alice before anything bad could happen. Thank goodness for them to have talked Alice back down and found the inscription on the watch. 30 shots leftover? Hee! I am so looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks so much, uhhuh!!
Great update. Alice has got some pretty clever friends ;). Can’t wait for your next update to see how the talk with Dana is gonna go. PPS :)
