    Meant to be together?

    Dana sat in the cafe and looked at her watch. 8.55am. She fidgeted her hands, nervous. She was ready to face Alice now. She would tell her who she was and what she wanted in their relationship.Yes, she wanted Alice to marry her. Just be firm and straight forward and no more rambling, she reminded herself. She took one sip of her coffee. Just as her mind was wandering far away, someone tapped on her shoulder. She smiled happily and turned around.

    "Al…What? William? Oh my god, why are you here?" Dana jaw dropped. She stood up immediately.

    "I am the one who supposed to ask you this question" William was puzzled as well.

    "Alice asked me to meet her here"

    "Same here, Alice asked me to..shit!" William realized something was wrong.Dana knew something was wrong as well and quickly looked around the place.

    ‘Looking for me Dane?" Dana swallowed hard at the voice behind her. Her muscles became stiff. William just stood there dumbfounded, didn’t know how to react. Dana exhaled and turned around slowly, she saw Alice walking towards her. Her legs were trembling. She didn’t know how this would end. Alice stopped in front of Dana, looking intently at her, then to her father and returned her gaze to Dana again. Dana noticed that Alice’s eyes were red and swollen, her gaze was full of hatred and hurt.

    "Hi" Alice looked at Dana.Dana looked at Alice and looked down, not able to say a word. Then Alice switched her gaze to her father.

    "Hi, Dad. Surprise?"William exhaled and tapped on Dana’s shoulder "Dane, you should tell her now."

    "Don’t!" Alice put her hands up."I am over this, I am really really over this."

    "Alice, I…."

    "Stop it! I don’t want to hear anything from you! I don’t want to see you anymore!" Alice retreated and turned around and run away from them.

    Dana just stood there feeling quilty. She didn’t know what to do.

    "Hey, now is the time for you to get your fiancee back. Tell her who you are. Let her know how you feel" William squeezed Dana’s arm to show his support.Dana looked at William and nodded. She made her way out and went on to chase after Alice.

    "Alice, wait up" Dana yelled at Alice. Alice ignored her and still running.

    1. Why the question mark after “Meant to be together”? Of course they are!!! and to eternity. lol. Thank you the gang’s wisdom. Nice touch with the inscription on the watch. Now A must go make nice to D. I hope it would not be too late that D had given up therefore packed up and left. It was a small set back even though she was slapped twice. btw, that was pretty harsh. I hope D would have stopped crying when A got to her hotel. A did not want a “cubby, clumsy and always crying girly girl.” Then again, that was 20 years ago, D had become a wonderful & caring person. So A could easily erase that childhood image. Please, happy Danish?! lots and lots!!! Thank you very much, uhhuh. This is another great update.

    3. What a great chapter!! So emotional… That was a pretty good plan on Alice’s part to get both her father and Dana at the restaurant. I thought Dana might have a chance when she chased Alice out of the restaurant, but, Alice was obviously not ready to listen. I am glad William had the sense to call Bette and that the friends found Alice before anything bad could happen. Thank goodness for them to have talked Alice back down and found the inscription on the watch. 30 shots leftover? Hee! I am so looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks so much, uhhuh!!
