"It’s natural Al, I mean maybe she felt the same way as you did. I bet she was pissed too. She didn’t know about you also.Therefore she made the initiative to check on you Al, to see herself what kind of women you are. I don’t think you can blame her, I would have done the same thing too" Shane smiled.

"And if you can remember Al, she made you smiled that smile of yours. She treated you like a queen!" Tina said.

The group saw changes in Alice’s face expression. She seemed to absorb in what they told her. She looked at Bette for another confirmation. Bette nodded to signal her agreement. Then she looked at Carmen. She squeezed her hand and nodded.

A smile crept up at Alice’s lips. Tina decided to make her friend realized what’s coming to her.

"Al,I guess all the while,ever since you were born, god has designated her to be the one that will hold on to you forever. You two were far away yet so close to each other. HE bonded two of you, who were thousands miles away from each other with this engagement, and finally let the two of you meet when HE thinks the time has come. It’s a blessing, Al, and you have HIM and your grandfather to thank."

"Yeah, Al, that’s why all this while you failed to find the person that you love. It’s just that you have already reserved a place for this special person, and you are just waiting for her to claim your heart" Bette smiled at her.
 
"Which is the one and only one Dana Fairbanks. And she is particularly just a few kilometres away from you now. Grabbed her and never let her go" Carmen added.

Alice tried to digest on her friends comments. They were right, she thought. Ever since she had met Dana about 20 years ago, she felt like she found home in her. Then when Dana left after the vacation,she felt so sad that they had to separate. The sadness of separation soon evolved into hatred and insecurities as she grown up, without her realizing it.That’s why she never involved in a real relationship before.She always opted for one night stands and some short flings, because she never had to put her feelings in and they were safe to her. No heart broken or sort of. When she found out on the engagement,her world was up side down. This person she engaged to had left her once many years ago. She didn’t think she could really take it if she left her again. That’s why she fought very hard to break the engagament. She fought because she wanted to save herself from heart broken. Then Dane came into her life. Although at that time she was still a stranger to her but she found home in her, just as what she felt 20 years ago. She couldn’t help but to fall into her deeper and deeper each day. And then it came the message. It really killed her. She felt the same pain in her. But now that her friends had reasoned to her, it really make sense. She felt as if she has known Dane her whole life on the very first day they met each other.And Dane was Dana Fairbanks, the person she engaged to. It just happened.Just like what Tina said, the right time. And yes, Dana was very sensitive towards her feelings and treated her very well. Now Alice had no doubt that they were meant for each other. She smiled thinking about the words Dana whispered into her ear at the beach the night before. She looked at the watch, suddenly……

"Fuck!" Her friends looked at her, mouth opened.

"Fuck, I just slapped her TWICE" Alice put her hand on her mouth."I mean I slapped her really hard. What if she wants to break off the engagement?" Her friends just laughed at her.

"I bet if she wanted to break off she would have already done it after she saw your hangover.But she didn’t" Tina winked at her.

"It does not matter Al, she loves you. Just make sure you make it up to her tonight" Bette said assuringly.

"Like giving her what she wanted all the while" Shane grinned at her statement.Carmen smacked her arm.

"Ouuccchh, that’s mean" Shane said and rubbed her arm.

"Really you should go to her and listen to what she has to say" Carmen said, smiling. At last they saw a big grin on Alice’s face. Alice put the watch into her pocket.
 
"Shane, hmm, can you give me a lift to the hotel where Dana stays?" Alice asked.

"Of course, let’s go" Shane took her keys and stood up.

"Bette, can you help to call my dad? Tell him that I will call tomorrow"

"Right away" Bette smiled to Alice.

Alice thanked the group and hugged all of them. They said goodbye and wished her good luck. As the three of them sat on the sofa again after Shane and Alice left, they smiled at each other feeling happy for their friend. But then reality hit.They looked at at the table and looked at each other again. Fuck! Who’s going to finish up the 30 shots of tequillas?
