Angie was beside herself when she came out with James dressed and saw so many people for her to give hugs to. She went to each one, with no prompting and gave hugs and kisses. She loves them all so much. I offered drinks and surprisingly, everyone wanted tea or lemonade. Kit came as I was preparing drinks and she jumped in to help.
Dinner with more people added just made for a more festive time. We had decided to wait until Angie had gone to bed to tell everyone. After dinner and desert, she was already rubbing her eyes. She wanted Tasha to take her to bed and the smile that Tasha had as they walked off after another round of hugs and kisses, was wonderful. Angie had taken to her immediately.
When Tasha came back, I made coffee, put the pitcher with tea and one with lemonade on a tray and carried them outside. Everyone made it out there with us and we all found places to sit. Bette and I were lying on a lounge chair together and holding hands. As a group, we were just talking about nothing until Bette asked if she could say something. That got everyone’s attention immediately.
“We have something to tell all of you but you have to wait until I’m done before you say anything.” She took a minute to get her breath and held my hand tighter. “Tina and I decided a couple months ago that we wanted to try for another baby. We wanted if possible to be pregnant when we got married so that baby would be part of such a wonderful experience with us. We didn’t tell anyone because it was going to be our secret until after the ceremony. We made our first attempt while we were in NY but didn’t think it worked because Tina got her period. Anyway, Tina went to the doctor today and we’re pregnant. Actually, we’re pregnant with twins.” There were looks of joy around us but they could tell from our looks that there was more that we hadn’t told them yet. Bette tried to finish but seemed to be having a hard time so I jumped in.
“I didn’t think I was pregnant because the bleeding has continued so when Dr. Wilson told me, I was shocked. She did an ultra sound and the babies are healthy from what she can see but I’m going in on Friday for her to look around and try a procedure to stop the bleeding. We weren’t going to say anything but James, Bette is going to need help with her schedule and if something happens with the babies, you all would be the first that we turned to. We wanted you to know because as our family, it was something we couldn’t keep from you.”

Wow! Two posts in one day. Who ever challenged you, tell them thanks! Great as always. You did have me concerned for a moment. Love that they are communicating and that Tina’s hormones are raging. Can’t wait to see how they control the urges ;)

I also noticed the baby ad & smiled at the coincidence….Well thank you to whoever issued the challenge & thank you for answering it…great update….glad that everything is ok w/ the babies & T…love seeing the whole family supporting our girls & wonderful to see them being open w/ each other about everything – including those raging hormones!! ;)
Bette & Tina are having 2 bundles of joy! And you posted twice in one day! Double sources of happiness. WOW! The bleeding and the procedure were scary. It was so touching to see their whole family rally around them. I hope the worst is over and the rest of Tina’s pregnancy will be okay. But whatever happens, I think Bette & Tina’s relationship will emerge even stronger from this pregnancy. “I asked her the question that Tina wanted me to ask. Dr. Wilson had to hold her stomach she was laughing so hard.” => I LMAO too when I read this. Bette will have her hands full dealing with Tina’s double rush of hormones. Everything is falling into place for the Kennard-Porters. Even Shane, Alice and Kit have found their own loves. Thank you, thank you, NAG, for the lovely 2 chapters! Hope you and little G had a blast in the beach, sand and all. :>
all caught up… love this story and i am so glad they called mom and dad… kit was so right, they would have felt terrible if any thing happened and they were hours away… and tina being horny… well bette will be up to the task… i have faith… thanks for 2 posts… PPS

Thanks for posting 2 in one day! and Tina’s hormones are already raging, poor Bette isn’t gonna know what hits her and how on Earth are they ever going to make it a whole week?? They better arrange for someone to keep Angie that night, beacuse it’s going to be a long night!
I tired to read this post when it first came out but knew that I would not have done it justice. I loved how much Bette and Tina have grown as a couple and hope that they will continue to grow. I know that life can throw a curve ball into the mixture, but at least they have each other and their family. Please keep Bette and Tina and of course the babies safe. Well, that also goes for the entire family.
I was scared at first but the chapter left me smiling… in fact, I’m still smiling. What can I say? This story just makes me happy. Thanks for the double posts, NAG. cheers!

I’m so happy you posted again today I can never get enough of this story. Twins, gosh Tina will wear Bette out she won’t be able to stand up. Lol. This will be such fun to watch when Dr. Wilson gives them the green light. Such a wonderful story. Post when you can.
