    Chapter 68

    Tina

    As we sat at lunch, I was still having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that we were having twins. Bette and I talked about it and tried to contain our excitement, as so much could still go wrong. We made arrangements to go see Joyce. As much as I despised her for what she tried to do to me when I was living in her guest house, she was still the one who could write up an iron clad protection for us in the event that something happened to either of us. I had no doubts that the adoption of Angie would be all that Bette needed to protect her rights of Angie but if something happened during the pregnancy and they were born and I didn’t survive, Bette needed protection for them as well. I really didn’t think that my parents would try to step in and take them away from her but when in grief, we both decided it was better to take chance out of the equation.

    After we finished lunch, this time actually eating, we stopped and picked Angie up from daycare. It was nearing nap time and she easily went down for a nap when we got home. I started chopping vegetables for a stir fry and Bette cleaned up a bit before we took some waters and went and sat by the pool. We were both anxious to get the evening over with and to have our family know what was going on. We talked about telling Mom and Daddy. Bette left the decision up to me and I told her that we could discuss it as a group when the rest of them got there. We then discussed what changes we wanted to make to the house. At a minimum, we would need two more rooms. If the twins were the same sex, they could share a room but if we had one of both, it wouldn’t be fair to Angie to have to share a room with her sister and we still wanted to have a guest room. We would have to build up or else lose the garden area that we both loved. Talking seemed to take our minds off the fears that we were both having. I knew we needed to talk about them though. If we didn’t, we would possibly pull away from each other and we’ve come too far for that to happen.

I also noticed the baby ad & smiled at the coincidence….Well thank you to whoever issued the challenge & thank you for answering it…great update….glad that everything is ok w/ the babies & T…love seeing the whole family supporting our girls & wonderful to see them being open w/ each other about everything – including those raging hormones!! ;)

    4. Bette & Tina are having 2 bundles of joy! And you posted twice in one day! Double sources of happiness. WOW! The bleeding and the procedure were scary. It was so touching to see their whole family rally around them. I hope the worst is over and the rest of Tina’s pregnancy will be okay. But whatever happens, I think Bette & Tina’s relationship will emerge even stronger from this pregnancy. “I asked her the question that Tina wanted me to ask. Dr. Wilson had to hold her stomach she was laughing so hard.” => I LMAO too when I read this. Bette will have her hands full dealing with Tina’s double rush of hormones. Everything is falling into place for the Kennard-Porters. Even Shane, Alice and Kit have found their own loves. Thank you, thank you, NAG, for the lovely 2 chapters! Hope you and little G had a blast in the beach, sand and all. :>

    13. I tired to read this post when it first came out but knew that I would not have done it justice. I loved how much Bette and Tina have grown as a couple and hope that they will continue to grow. I know that life can throw a curve ball into the mixture, but at least they have each other and their family. Please keep Bette and Tina and of course the babies safe. Well, that also goes for the entire family.

    16. I’m so happy you posted again today I can never get enough of this story. Twins, gosh Tina will wear Bette out she won’t be able to stand up. Lol. This will be such fun to watch when Dr. Wilson gives them the green light. Such a wonderful story. Post when you can.
