    Friday

    “Babe, can we talk about the babies for a few minutes?” I asked her just as it seemed that she was going to drift off. She sat back up and looked at me.

    “Sure T.”

    “I’m scared. I know Dr. Wilson seems to think that everything is going to be alright but I’m scared that we’re going to lose them and in turn lose each other again.” My tears started without me even knowing. Bette got up from the chair that she was sitting on and took my hand. Together we walked to one of the loungers and she sat down pulling me into her arms. We lay there together for a few minutes just holding one another before she said anything.

    “I’m scared too T. I didn’t know how much I wanted this until you were standing in my office telling me that you were pregnant. I know how lost we were when we had the miscarriage but sweetie, we’re not there now. We had problems leading into that pregnancy that we hadn’t dealt with. When we got pregnant, although we wanted a baby and would have loved him completely, it was more about saving us. We got pregnant this time because we’re ready to have another baby. We’re ready to deal with whatever is handed to us this time. I was scared last time and never would have told you that. I don’t think you would have told me either. I swear to you that I’m not going to make the same mistakes that I made last time regardless to what happens. We’re in this together and will make it through something bad happening or having two babies when we initially thought we were going to have one. Tina, we’re going to be ok.”

    Her words calmed me. She said everything that I needed to hear. I needed to know that she was scared too. I needed to know that she was going to be there with me during everything that happened with this pregnancy.  I needed to know that she knew that this again brought up my insecurities about the affair and that she was aware of them. I wanted everything to be ok but I needed to know if it wasn’t that she was going to be able to lean on me as well me lean on her.

I also noticed the baby ad & smiled at the coincidence….Well thank you to whoever issued the challenge & thank you for answering it…great update….glad that everything is ok w/ the babies & T…love seeing the whole family supporting our girls & wonderful to see them being open w/ each other about everything – including those raging hormones!! ;)

    4. Bette & Tina are having 2 bundles of joy! And you posted twice in one day! Double sources of happiness. WOW! The bleeding and the procedure were scary. It was so touching to see their whole family rally around them. I hope the worst is over and the rest of Tina’s pregnancy will be okay. But whatever happens, I think Bette & Tina’s relationship will emerge even stronger from this pregnancy. “I asked her the question that Tina wanted me to ask. Dr. Wilson had to hold her stomach she was laughing so hard.” => I LMAO too when I read this. Bette will have her hands full dealing with Tina’s double rush of hormones. Everything is falling into place for the Kennard-Porters. Even Shane, Alice and Kit have found their own loves. Thank you, thank you, NAG, for the lovely 2 chapters! Hope you and little G had a blast in the beach, sand and all. :>

    12. Thanks for posting 2 in one day! and Tina’s hormones are already raging, poor Bette isn’t gonna know what hits her and how on Earth are they ever going to make it a whole week?? They better arrange for someone to keep Angie that night, beacuse it’s going to be a long night!

    13. I tired to read this post when it first came out but knew that I would not have done it justice. I loved how much Bette and Tina have grown as a couple and hope that they will continue to grow. I know that life can throw a curve ball into the mixture, but at least they have each other and their family. Please keep Bette and Tina and of course the babies safe. Well, that also goes for the entire family.

    16. I’m so happy you posted again today I can never get enough of this story. Twins, gosh Tina will wear Bette out she won’t be able to stand up. Lol. This will be such fun to watch when Dr. Wilson gives them the green light. Such a wonderful story. Post when you can.
