    Bette and Tina talk about the pregnancy, the baby, and how things have changed …

    "Yeah, but I took care of her baby. You’ve had a really rough past couple of days."

    "So have you." The look Tina shot her held the smallest hint of a smile, and it challenged the control freak in Bette. It gave them a moment of silence to shift a little closer.

    "Don’t worry about it," Bette whispered, being careful this time not to wake the baby. "I even made myself some coffee so I could … stay awake."

    "What’re you doing?" Tina whispered, smiling in response to Bette’s flirtatious hand moving down her arm.

    Bette loved how her wife could get shy, even in the privacy of their room. It wasn’t often, but she loved those moments. "Mmm … I want to kiss my wife."

    "You already did kiss me today."

    "Oh gosh, I did?" Bette teased, getting onto her knees as she brushed Tina’s hair off her shoulders, looking into her eyes. "Did I kiss the top of your head?"

    "No …" Tina blushed, the familiar purse of her lips as she tried to hide her face.

    Bette held it in her hands to watch Tina’s beautiful expressions. "On the cheek?"

    Tina’s smile fell as she looked up at Bette and remembered all of the things she was capable of. Although it had felt like an eternity, she was aware that they were both, in fact, sexual beings. Now her heart was racing. "No."

    "It wouldn’t be on the lips, would it?"

    Tina couldn’t help but watch the lust grow in Bette’s eyes. She swallowed hard. "Yeah."

    "Anywhere else?"

    Tina hated to blush, but the pink was back in her cheeks. Bette had teasingly kissed her cleavage earlier that day, before leaving for work. "Bette?"

    "Yes, T?" She loved to tease the vulnerable woman before her – she could never get enough of it.

    "Kiss me."

    Or maybe she could.

    Without the need to be excessively cheeky or cruel, Bette leaned in and brought their lips together. She loved the taste of their kisses, and the ease she felt with Tina. She could kiss her for days, and especially with her hands tangled in that beautiful blond hair. "Mmm …"

    When they finally pulled back, Tina was breathless. "What are we doing?" She felt like she was sneaking around, having to whisper in their own house.

    3. I’m not a mom, but have taken care of my little niece from time to time. Don’t know how my brother and his wife do it and still get up for work in the morning let alone anything else. Nice and very sweet story.

Tina’s anxiety as a new parent was so evident as was Bette’s especially when they got to re-connect and then in a state of bliss Tina asked if Angie had woke up.
