    Bette and Tina talk about the pregnancy, the baby, and how things have changed …

     

    Bette let herself drop onto the couch after having placed her wine glass on the coffee table. She relaxed into the cushions and exhaled aloud as Tina walked back into the room.

    "She’s asleep," Tina whispered, tilting her head to the left, and hearing it crack. "Uhhh."

    "Are you as dead tired as I am?"

    Tina chuckled, agreeing without the necessity of words. The answer was completely obvious, so she just joined Bette on the couch. "I can’t remember if I was more tired pregnant, or if this is more exhausting."

    "This." Bette was too tired to laugh, so she just closed her eyes. "God I hope she sleeps through the night this time."

    There was a moment of silence, and then Tina looked over to her beautiful wife – eyes closed and breathing evenly. "Are you falling asleep?"

    Bette smiled and slowly opened her eyes to look at Tina. "I can’t believe how tired one baby can make us both. It’s actually incredible."

    "Remember when I was pregnant?"

    Bette chuckled very quietly, "Fuck, do I ever."

    "What was that for?" Tina smiled, inching in closer to lean her head on Bette’s shoulder. "Was I so terrible?"

    "No, not terrible. I’m remembering all the times I was jumped, attacked, and devoured."

    "Heyyy," Tina whined jokingly, whacking Bette’s thigh. "I wasn’t a sexual beast, Bette. You make me sound crazy or something."

    "You weren’t crazy," Bette smirked, closing her eyes again as she continued on. "But I seem to remember one of the times you surprised me at work, and I had to walk around with one button missing all day." She took a deep breath in and out. "I was so relieved that James didn’t mention a thing."

    Tina giggled and brought one of her legs onto Bette’s lap. "I didn’t do that …"

    "You did," Bette whispered, "And more than that. I was so exhausted some days … but it was so incredible. I loved satiating all of your urges, baby. It was really thrilling. Like the office visit. Mmm … I can still remember how you undressed me … how you touched me and licked me … you always could get me off."

    "Well at least you’re not complaining."

    Bette chuckled, "And I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed going down on you so often. Even though we had to be careful, and I couldn’t look into your eyes while I was doing it … those sounds you made …"

    3. I’m not a mom, but have taken care of my little niece from time to time. Don’t know how my brother and his wife do it and still get up for work in the morning let alone anything else. Nice and very sweet story.

Tina’s anxiety as a new parent was so evident as was Bette’s especially when they got to re-connect and then in a state of bliss Tina asked if Angie had woke up.
