    Bette and Tina talk about the pregnancy, the baby, and how things have changed …

    "Hah!" Tina scoffed, slapping Bette’s hands from her chest. "Yeah right. You’d spend all day trying to lick them."

    "Give me more credit than that," Bette moaned, shifting Tina over, and helping Tina onto her back, so she could lay over her. "I’ve already perfected that, and with these … larger …" she hungrily pressed her hands onto Tina, "… Mmm … I’d have lots of fun."

    "Stop," Tina moaned, giggling when Bette buried her face in her neck. "Bette …"

    They both stopped when they heard the distinct cry from the baby’s room.

    "Oh fuck … we were too loud."

    Bette had to smile at Tina’s frustration. "I’ve got this. I’ll be right back."

    "What if she’s hungry?"

    "I’M hungry," she teased, already on her way down the hall, "And besides, she just ate."

    Tina finally pulled herself up to sit when she realized that the crying had affected her. "Fucking nipples," she cursed, looking down to her wet shirt. She walked into the master bedroom to change, grumbling all the way over.

    Once Bette had checked on Angelica to find that all she needed was attention, she brought the baby into the living room to find it empty. "Hmm. Maybe Mommy realized she needed sleep more than my little kisses. Yes she did," Bette whispered in her usual baby talk. She held Angelica’s soft baby cheek to her own and walked slowly to her bedroom, in a sort of dance that soothed Angelica’s restlessness.

    "Please tell her not to cry anymore," Tina breathed with laughter, pulling on another shirt.

    "Oh no, again? I’m sorry, hunny."

    "Yes. Again."

    "You’re gonna be so good for us, aren’t you?" Bette smiled uncontrollably, looking into the eyes of her baby girl. "Yes you are. Oh yes you are."

    "I have the feeling she’s not," Tina smiled, slowly making her way over and holding out her arms while Angelica reached for her. "God, look at how perfect she is."

    They both just marvelled at the little girl who expertly grabbed onto Tina’s finger and tried bringing it into her mouth. Bette couldn’t help but smile. "She’s beautiful."

    "Maybe she should sleep with us tonight," Tina sighed, trying to be as content as possible with such little sleep. "We’re gonna be dead anyways. Might as well be with her – it might help comfort her, and she’ll actually give us more than two hour’s rest."

    1. OMG! You captured all the emotions of being the parents of a newborn who are looking to reconnect sexually. The “mother monitor” made me laugh out loud as I thought back on how many times I thought the baby could hear me in the throws of passion. Too funny! Perfectly written.

    3. I’m not a mom, but have taken care of my little niece from time to time. Don’t know how my brother and his wife do it and still get up for work in the morning let alone anything else. Nice and very sweet story.

Tina’s anxiety as a new parent was so evident as was Bette’s especially when they got to re-connect and then in a state of bliss Tina asked if Angie had woke up. This physical pleasuring and release was so needed by both women. The demands of their child has been a complete revelation to them both. One that they are fully enjoying if without sleep.
