    Bette and Tina talk about the pregnancy, the baby, and how things have changed …

    "No …" Bette whined quietly, following Tina over to her side of the bed and snuggling in behind her. "T? I’m sorry. I’m just … it feels like it’s been so long, and I just want us to re-connect. Please?"

    "Don’t beg for sex," Tina smirked into the pillow. She hated that she was smiling at a time like that, but she just couldn’t help it.

    "Why not?"

    Then she had to chuckle. "Bette."

    "What?"

    "You don’t … you don’t have to do that. I don’t like when you beg me."

    "Please please pleeease?"

    "I said I don’t like it."

    "But I can tell it’s making you smile …"

    Tina shook her head, but tried to remain unaffected. She felt bothered by so many little things, and they had been accumulating all day – like the monitor, like her worry of not waking to Angelica if she was home alone with her, and her frustrations with the new details of her body. She let a deep breath out and tried to close her eyes to it all.

    Bette, on the other hand, had an idea. She figured that maybe if she could distract Tina from all of her worries, and all of her stress, that she could get Tina to submit to her body’s desire for release. After having slipped off the bed, she bit her lower lip. She wondered if she could open the drawer without making much noise.

    As she moved closer to the edge of her side on the bed, Tina was troubled. Had Bette given up? Had she wanted Bette to plead for sex? What was wrong with her lately? Didn’t she want sex just as much as Bette obviously did? All of the questions were swimming around in her mind, but she pushed them out just as she heard something strange on Bette’s side of the room. She listened carefully, but then she heard nothing. She figured Bette was getting changed, and with a reminder of her own fatigue, she let out another sigh.

    There was the possibility that Tina was angry, Bette thought as she slipped back onto the bed, but she just had to give her idea a shot. She slipped in behind Tina again, slipping her arm under Tina’s neck and placing the hand over her mouth. "Tell me how much you want it."

    1. OMG! You captured all the emotions of being the parents of a newborn who are looking to reconnect sexually. The “mother monitor” made me laugh out loud as I thought back on how many times I thought the baby could hear me in the throws of passion. Too funny! Perfectly written.

    3. I’m not a mom, but have taken care of my little niece from time to time. Don’t know how my brother and his wife do it and still get up for work in the morning let alone anything else. Nice and very sweet story.

Tina’s anxiety as a new parent was so evident as was Bette’s especially when they got to re-connect and then in a state of bliss Tina asked if Angie had woke up. This physical pleasuring and release was so needed by both women. The demands of their child has been a complete revelation to them both. One that they are fully enjoying if without sleep.
