“I am so glad you and I are together “

Bette sighed and went silent for several minutes. She needed to process this in her own head first before she and Tina made sense of it. It had been an affair – maybe it had been a one night stand – no – this sounded like it had been an affair. An affair her mother had willingly been a part of – they had been under-graduates and she knew what she had got up during her time at college. So she had willingly slept with Emma – Bette could see how her father would have been devastated but how long ago had it been? Well they would have been younger than Bette and Tina were now. So that was how long ago? – Near enough to 30 years ago.
“My father will have been upset – and it does explain why he and your mom fell out. But that was over 30 years ago Ti – and he and Emma get on well. They have a lot in common – I really think my father has let this go and if he has – well “Bette squeezed Tina’s side “We have to do the same. What happened between your mom and mine makes no difference to you and I being in love and being a couple. Yes so it’s weird but all families have secrets – that’s no big shock. Yes this one is weirder than most but its ancient history and I mean it babe – we are not letting Kate mess up our lives””
“You are right – we are seeing them all tomorrow night remember – can we act like nothing has happened “
“NO “ Bette said “ We have to tell them that we know – they all need to know what Kate was prepared to do to be spiteful. I swear that woman better not show up here again”
“I don’t want to see her “Tina said quietly
“You okay?”
“Drained “
“It’s not 8pm yet – mind you we got precious little sleep last night what with you molesting me time and time again”

Thanks! This was great! I love that Tina and Bette want let Kate hurt their relationship. Kate is in major shit now with everyone. I don’t think Tina will come back after this one. Melvin is going to go off on Kate. Lord Tina Dad is going to go crazy on Kate also. I can’t wait. Please post again today since you go back to work tomorrow. Glad to read another update. I’m happy that Bette and Tina are being reasonable about their judgment over their parent’s past. It was really a bad situation but I’m sure that they’ll get over this. As for Kate. She is a bitch! Hehe

I guess it´s always easier to lash out than to accept your own flaws – but this really was a shitty thing to do. I´m sure Kate´s main goal was Emma, but she had to have known the potential damage she could have caused.
Hm, Kate is a fully-fledged demon now in everyone’s eyes, but is what she’s done really totally unforgivable? Really?
Until a few months ago, Tina loved Kate just fine. Time heals everything – it certainly worked in Emma’s favor, didn’t it? Because no matter what she’s done, she’s been forgiven and everyone loves her now.
Kate’s just going to have to give it a while. Something is clearly wrong, and the woman is losing her marbles. Maybe someone will eventually reach out and figure out what it is, or encourage her to get therapy or something. Hell, it’s Christmas, and who wants to be mad at their mother at Christmas?
In the meantime though, Kate will have to answer for her professional wrong doings… that one can’t really be let go.
In personal matters, Emma was no saint and she’s rolling high now, so surely Kate will be afforded the same opportunity by everyone for forgiveness.
LOL, I can’t see any of them doing it though. I think they’ll have the cheeriest Christmas ever out of spite. ;P

I liked this chapter, and I am glad that Bette and Tina rationally thought through and did anything rash.
The love between them is very strong indeed, and it shows that they will beat with just about anything and anyone.
Bette’s view was correct, that in the past, and it’s between the parents.
Kate just really fucked up royally. She wanted to hurt and tarnish Emma, and she does not think that what she was doing to her daughter. If she doesn’t really want to be alone, and lose her daughter. She need to think it all. I hope she come to her senses, but it will not be an easy task if she want to repair with the relationship everybody.
I’m with the others, it will be just bad then you post a new chapter once a week. I was hooked on this story, and I like the usual amount :P
I look forward to the next chapter.

I am liking Kate less and less now. I am really impressed at how mature Bette and Tina are. They have come a long way where they can forgive their mothers for having an affair. It does bring hope that they will one day forgive Kate too.
