Chapter 64
Bette took in Tina’s words with some confusion
“Emma had an affair with Rosemary – my mom?”
“Yes – that’s why your dad hated her for so long”
“I am not surprised – really? And this wasn’t some drunken revelation from Kate?”
“No – she meant it – she really meant it”
Bette exhaled “Fuck “she moved round so she was sitting facing Tina who had been sitting hugging her knees when Bette had first come in. Her mind was racing -it would explain a lot and it would also raise a lot of questions – like her mother having a lesbian phase – that was something she was staggered by.
“Tell me what happened with Kate?” Bette said – she wanted the whole story before she jumped to any conclusions. And right now the person she most wanted to slap wasn’t Emma but Kate.
“I got mad with her “
Bette knew what Tina’s temper was like when she admitted to “ getting mad “ – that was usually pretty close to a full scale melt down.
“Tell me “
“She was justifying herself – she was blaming mom and going on about how it was Emma who had stopped us being together and what would have happened if you had found someone new – what would I have done with you dating someone else”
“Bitch “ Bette said “Go on “
“And she was just getting me angry – I don’t know if she was trying to provoke me but she did. I tried to keep my temper but she just went on and on and on about what a bad mother Emma was. So I snapped back about her being the one who had cheated on mom and I said something like – well I don’t think it was the first time either. She went nuts saying that Emma had no right to tell me all of that “
“She didn’t though – that’s the thing – Emma never said anything concrete”
“Well clearly Kate has one fucking guilty conscious because she got very defensive and admitted that she had cheated on Emma before “
“Right “
“But her defence “Tina laughed “Her fucking defence was that Emma had cheated on her at college”

Thanks! This was great! I love that Tina and Bette want let Kate hurt their relationship. Kate is in major shit now with everyone. I don’t think Tina will come back after this one. Melvin is going to go off on Kate. Lord Tina Dad is going to go crazy on Kate also. I can’t wait. Please post again today since you go back to work tomorrow. Glad to read another update. I’m happy that Bette and Tina are being reasonable about their judgment over their parent’s past. It was really a bad situation but I’m sure that they’ll get over this. As for Kate. She is a bitch! Hehe

I’m glad B&T doesn’t Let this influence their relationship with each other and Emma and Rosemary.

I guess it´s always easier to lash out than to accept your own flaws – but this really was a shitty thing to do. I´m sure Kate´s main goal was Emma, but she had to have known the potential damage she could have caused.
Hm, Kate is a fully-fledged demon now in everyone’s eyes, but is what she’s done really totally unforgivable? Really?
Until a few months ago, Tina loved Kate just fine. Time heals everything – it certainly worked in Emma’s favor, didn’t it? Because no matter what she’s done, she’s been forgiven and everyone loves her now.
Kate’s just going to have to give it a while. Something is clearly wrong, and the woman is losing her marbles. Maybe someone will eventually reach out and figure out what it is, or encourage her to get therapy or something. Hell, it’s Christmas, and who wants to be mad at their mother at Christmas?
In the meantime though, Kate will have to answer for her professional wrong doings… that one can’t really be let go.
In personal matters, Emma was no saint and she’s rolling high now, so surely Kate will be afforded the same opportunity by everyone for forgiveness.
LOL, I can’t see any of them doing it though. I think they’ll have the cheeriest Christmas ever out of spite. ;P

I liked this chapter, and I am glad that Bette and Tina rationally thought through and did anything rash.
The love between them is very strong indeed, and it shows that they will beat with just about anything and anyone.
Bette’s view was correct, that in the past, and it’s between the parents.
Kate just really fucked up royally. She wanted to hurt and tarnish Emma, and she does not think that what she was doing to her daughter. If she doesn’t really want to be alone, and lose her daughter. She need to think it all. I hope she come to her senses, but it will not be an easy task if she want to repair with the relationship everybody.
I’m with the others, it will be just bad then you post a new chapter once a week. I was hooked on this story, and I like the usual amount :P
I look forward to the next chapter.

I am liking Kate less and less now. I am really impressed at how mature Bette and Tina are. They have come a long way where they can forgive their mothers for having an affair. It does bring hope that they will one day forgive Kate too.
