    New York Minute

    Tina had enjoyed her day with Casey – it was obvious that they had more in common than just being lesbians. Bette and Casey’s partner Jess sounded similar – well Jess sounded more like the old version of Bette. Tina was just glad to make a friend – she was pretty isolated in New York apart from Bette she knew no one apart from James and his girlfriend Vicky so today had been an important breakthrough for Tina. She needed to start making things happen – she had been too lazy and happy to just relax with Angie and Bette as the only things in her life. She needed to shake herself from her complacency and she had all the time in the world to do it in.

    She was so busy writing down her plans she didn’t hear the door open and Bette enter. The first she knew that her family were home was the stampede of feet as Angie burst into the room

    “Hey mommy “

    Tina put down her pen and swung round. Angie was standing looking at her. She looked lovely in her school uniform and warm winter coat complete with scarf and gloves.

    “Hello sweet-pea – how are you – have you had a good day ?”

    “Yeah – great “

    Bette walked in following her “ Its starting to snow again “

    Tina started to remove Angie’s scarf and gloves but her daughter was developing an independent streak “I can do that mommy “ she objected and removed her scarf. Bette grinned

    “Okay then you can also fold it up so it doesn’t look like a tea towel and put it with your coat and gloves for tomorrow. Go on – hang it up with the other coats”

    “I am not tall enough “

    “Okay – we’ll go and do it together “

    Bette and Angie left the room again – Bette shaking her head at Angie. Tina laughed – she better see if their meal was ready. She was enjoying having time to make soups and warm meals for her girls and they always cleared their plates – a sure sign that they appreciated her cooking. When they came back Angie was holding Bette’s hand. Tina grinned at them

    3. Great one again, AllyE. Have thought since Tina lost out on the job that she wanted that it was helena being a bad ass and bad mouthing her that lost that job for her. The people were all set to hire her and after the LA interview they didn’t. Helena got wind of it and somehow scotched it for her. I thought that Bette should have talked to Peggy or called in some markers from friends to get that taken care of. Helena should not be allowed to get away with her actions just because Tina chose to be with Bette. Hope it can be turned around for her and they call her back to the job. Thanks for posting.

    8. Thank you for the update on NYM, but you had already posted chapter 39, I guess it was just a refresher, due to the time span. I loved it Angie is the best nd you write her so well. B&T are of course awesome.
