    The one where Tina talks about Bette and they continue to get used to being a family

    Tina nodded “We can talk later “

    Bette nodded and walked across and picked Angie up

    “Are we friends ?”

    Angie nodded and hugged Bette

    “Good because you and I are going into your room to talk about the mess your audio books are in – come on Boo “

    Tina watched them go. It had been a relatively short period they had been a family but Bette had been fantastic. She had taken and passed the crash course in being a parent to a 5 year old daughter who was very curious, learnt things quickly and didn’t know what tidiness was. She was becoming more of a real parent to Angie which meant discipline as well as hugs and gifts.

    Tina got up and went into the kitchen to put the potatoes on the hob. Casey had given her a lot to think about. One of the most important things was Casey stressing how much attention she paid to her partner’s more basic needs. Tina knew that sex had fallen from both of their priority lists back in LA – it wasn’t in danger of happening in New York any time soon but it was worth her making it her mission that it never happened. She was much more sure of herself sexually than she had been when Bette had been the only woman she had slept with. She had gone a little crazy when she was pregnant – so many lesbians seemed to be almost throwing themselves at her and she had taken up several of the offers. It had gone only a limited way in quelling her loneliness for Bette and her fear of being a single mom.

    But that was all in the past but it did mean she was a different lover to the one that Bette had walked out on – one that was more sure of herself and her attraction to other lesbians and a confidence in her skills that she had never really had in the past.

    It was a quiet dinner – Angie was sulking because Bette had said that the next time she found Angie’s audio books in a mess she was going to take them away from her until she proved that she could keep the rest of her room passably tidy. It was the first time Bette had really put her foot down and Angie was less than happy. She was sitting eating and glaring at Bette who was acting as if she couldn’t sense the dirty looks from their daughter.

    3. Great one again, AllyE. Have thought since Tina lost out on the job that she wanted that it was helena being a bad ass and bad mouthing her that lost that job for her. The people were all set to hire her and after the LA interview they didn’t. Helena got wind of it and somehow scotched it for her. I thought that Bette should have talked to Peggy or called in some markers from friends to get that taken care of. Helena should not be allowed to get away with her actions just because Tina chose to be with Bette. Hope it can be turned around for her and they call her back to the job. Thanks for posting.

    8. Thank you for the update on NYM, but you had already posted chapter 39, I guess it was just a refresher, due to the time span. I loved it Angie is the best nd you write her so well. B&T are of course awesome.
