“I couldn’t care less – I love having you both here and her room is untidy but as you say – she’s five “

Tina smiled “Thanks “

Bette threw her notepad and highlighter pen into her briefcase and shut it and moved it

Tina willingly obeyed – moving across and letting Bette pull her into her arms. Their lips touched and for a few minutes they kissed. Bette stroked Tina’s face

“I want us to get into a normality – its strange for all three of us until we get used to our lives being the way they are. I love you and I love her. I don’t mind picking up her stuff but I do think she we are doing the right thing in showing her some level of responsibility. I want her to be a happy child and she is “

Bette smiled “It did go out of my head that I had bid for the tickets “

“It was for a good cause “

Bette smiled “I know – it cost me a couple of grand – but the money went to a children’s charity. She’ll have a hoot and it will be something for her to talk about at school – we might not get her away from the place “

“She’s happy and she’s even forgiven you for being bad momma today “

Tina nodded “You are getting there”

“Tell me when I am not “

“You are doing very well – you are different to me – I have to accept that you are going to do things differently with her “

Tina smiled “ You are doing fine – I was saying to Casey today how quickly you pick up her moods and seem to know how to react “

“Casey – that’s the Australian one ?”

“Not letting the grass grow “

“That was what we were talking about – you know that I want a job but maybe I am going to have to be more adaptable – do other things other than film production “

“No but I know what I am like – so do you – I need to find things to give me some new experiences “

“Volunteering ?”

“Possible – or maybe go to college – see what is out there – I am sure I can get some new skills “
