    The one where Tina talks about Bette and they continue to get used to being a family

    “Not much to ask for “ Tina agreed. Angie finally smiled – Bette laughed and tickled Angie who squirmed and started to laugh

    “Don’t Bette – you will make her throw up “ Tina told them both off. Bette stopped but winked at Angie

    “Am I in trouble now ?”

    “Yes – – both of you – behave the pair of you “

    If there was one thing that always cheered Angie up it was being in trouble at the same time as Bette.

    “So what’s for afters ? “ Bette asked

    “Just chunky monkey ice cream “

    “Chunky monkey – my favourite ! “ Angie brightened up

    “See – that worked “ Tina said “ Give me a hand with the dishes Angie and you can put the ice cream in the bowls for me “

    Bette lent back as Angie and Tina took the dishes into the kitchen. She got up and retrieved the envelope from her briefcase, put it on her seat and sat on it.

    “Okay Bette – you get the ice cream only when you tell us what you have planned” Tina returned after a bit of planning with Angie

    “I want my chunky monkey ice cream “ Bette said

    “So tell us “ Angie was grinning now as they seemed to have turned the tables on her. Bette knew she was an easy push over because she was looking forward to their reaction.

    “Okay – you both sitting down ?”

    “Get on with it “ Tina replied

    Bette smiled “ I always end up buying a lot of tickets for charity raffles and stuff like that. My clients are well off and they run a lot of charities and the prizes are usually pretty impressive. Well I didn’t win the top prize in any of them or as much as a box of fruit- as usually but I did get something in a charity auction that I think might get me back into the good books of my daughter “

    “What ?”

    Bette pulled the envelope from beneath her ass and waved it at Angie

    “If this is something you want to do and I am pretty sure it is – there are conditions – like tidy bedrooms and no sulking “

    1. What a coincidence I just starting rereading this story this morning because I loved it so much so thanks for continuing it. By the way I love your writing and re-read your stories often. The way you continue to develop these STRONG yet vulnerable women is beautiful.

    3. Great one again, AllyE. Have thought since Tina lost out on the job that she wanted that it was helena being a bad ass and bad mouthing her that lost that job for her. The people were all set to hire her and after the LA interview they didn’t. Helena got wind of it and somehow scotched it for her. I thought that Bette should have talked to Peggy or called in some markers from friends to get that taken care of. Helena should not be allowed to get away with her actions just because Tina chose to be with Bette. Hope it can be turned around for her and they call her back to the job. Thanks for posting.

    8. Thank you for the update on NYM, but you had already posted chapter 39, I guess it was just a refresher, due to the time span. I loved it Angie is the best nd you write her so well. B&T are of course awesome.
