She helped her father to the shower and afterwards helped him to get dressed. After he got dressed, they sat and talked for awhile. Shortly after Marina walked in with breakfast. Kit had breakfast with her father and then left for the arrends she had to run.

Tina and Bette

Tina woke up because her leg was aching. A smile crept upon her face when she saw what was causing the pain. It was Bette’s leg. Carefully she moved Bette’s leg away and stood up. She walked to the bathroom were she found new underwear and clothes to wear. Wow, Bette’s sister really took care of everything. She took a shower, put on the clothes and went looking for someone.

It didn’t take long before she bumped into Kit.

“Goodmorning Kit. Thank you for eveyrthing.”

“Ohh, hush baby girl, that’s the least thing I can do. Are you hungry?”

“Yes, a bit.”

“Okay, come, I’ll get you something to eat.”

Tina followed Kit to a room where there was a table set for two. The both took a seat. Kit didn’t sit at the place that was set. She told Tina she already had breakfast with her father.

“Tina do you mind if I ask you some questions, just to get to know you better?”

“No, not at all. In fact, I would want to get to know you too because Bette doesn’t talk about you that much. She loosened up last Sunday when she took me to the Joint. That’s when she told me she has a sister who sings.”

Kit smiled. That was typically her sister, very communicative. Kit asked questions and Tina answered as good as she could. She told Kit everything about herself, including her miscarriage and because of that no contact with her parents. When she told Kit she wanted to have children, Kit slightly raised her eyebrow but she didn’t replied.

While Tina told her story, Kit watched her closely. Everytime she mentioned Bette’s name, she could see a spark in her eye. That was all Kit needed to see. She knew then and there that Tina truly loved her sister but she also noticed the insecurity Tina had regarding to what her sister’s feelings were for her.
