Alice – thank you Mrs. M you’re a star

Mrs. Murray – my pleasure love see you later.

The two women made their way into the house.

Dana – she seems nice

Alice – yes she is, they are lovely neighbours she’s been a great help with Jake

Alice walked down the hallway and into the kitchen, she immediately went a put the kettle on knowing that any minute David would appear at the back door with some shopping.

Alice – well this is home, let me show you around. This is the kitchen

Dana – I figured that Al

Alice walked out of the kitchen back down the hall and took the first door on the right into a very large sitting room, it was quite modern but still had all of its original Victorian features, a large open fireplace, and a beautiful bay window with seats.  To the back of the room there was a dining table and two doors which led out to a small but private garden. Dana looked around the room, it was beautiful, one wall was completely covered by book shelves, full of books with the odd framed photo. At the end of the book case was an upright piano with a pile of music sheets placed on the top.

Alice then took Dana out of the room and up the stairs and then down along the hallway,

Alice – this is jakes room, the next room is the bathroom, and this room down the end is my room.

Dana followed Alice down to her room, alices bedroom was also beautiful, again with an open fire and window seats. There was another door off alices room which was the ensuite.

Dana – you really do have a beautiful home Alice

Alice – thank you, lets go have a cuppa

As they walked down the stairs there was a knock at the door, it was Mrs. M’s son David, he had a bag of groceries in his hand

David – hiya Al, this is for you from mum, just some stuff until you get a chance to go shopping and a stew she made today for your dinner.
