Dana smiled and walked out of the kitchen towards Alice who was still sat on the terrace steps.

Dana – so are you all set for tomorrow

Alice – pretty much, I have a lot of stuff at home, so I really don’t need to pack much.

Alice – I heard about Kate that sucks.

Dana – yeah it does, but to be honest, my heart really wasn’t in playing so im not to upset.

Dana- I know but I have other things on my mind that are more important

There is an awkward silence, Alice gets up and turns away from Dana to walk inside, then stops and turns

Alice – so your going to be at a loose end for a week or so then

Dana – yeah nothing planned why, do you need someone to help look after Jake?

Alice – no, umm will has Helena and Lucy helping so that’s all covered. – fuck it Pieszecki just ask her

Alice – I was just wondering if you wanted to keep me company in London, but it would be pretty boring some days so you don’t have to say yes just to please me or anything, don’t worry its up to you I’ll understand if . . . . . . . .

Dana – yep – she smiles – I’d love too Alice, come to London with you that is, that’s if you don’t mind me tagging along

Alice – that would be great, I can show you around, it’s a great city you’ll love it
