Alice had talked everything over with Will and he still wasn’t very forthcoming with any advice , much to alices annoyance, but deep down she knew he was only doing this for her own good.

Helena and Lucy had been seeing a lot of eachother, which Alice thought was cute, she also knew that they would both spoil Jake rotten whilst she was away.

Helena and Lucy had finally managed to get Alice to meet up with everyone for dinner the night before she left. Alice had reluctantly agreed, she was kind of hoping that she was going to able to slip away quietly but her friends had other ideas.  Everyone was there, and it was a very pleasant evening where the women talked and laughed their way through the night.  Helena then invited everyone back to her house after dinner for a small nightcap just to finish the night off.

The ladies all sat quietly around in smaller groups.  Bette and Shane where sat talking on the couch, Tina was half asleep next to Bette with her head resting on bettes shoulder.  Lucy and Carmen where looking through Helena’s cd’s discussing the finer and not so finer points of Helena’s collection, Alice was sat out on the terrace smoking a cigarette, that left Helena and Dana in the kitchen.

Helena – so how are you holding up Dana?

Dana – I’m ok

Helena – I thought you were playing in that tournament this week

Dana – I was but Kate fell off her horse riding at the weekend and broke her arm, so we had to pull out

Helena – god the poor thing, that must have hurt, so have you and Alice managed to talk yet?

Dana – no not really, this is the first time ive seen her in a week.

Helena – well if that is so, then why on earth are you in here talking to me darling

Dana looks at Helena with a very puzzled look on her face

Helena – go, go on talk to her again, make her see sense Dana, make her stay

Dana – I’ll try but im afraid she may have already made up her mind
