“Oh sweetie its beautiful.” She said taking it from him. He notice the painting.
“Mommy is that really you in the painting?” He asked. She looked at him. His question was out of the blue.
“Yes that’s me and Sissy when she was very little.” Bette said. He climbed in her lap.
“Did our daddy paint it?” He asked.
“Yes he did right before Jess and I moved to California.” Bette said.
“Sissy looks like Angelica.” He commented.
“Yes she does.” Bette said.
“Is sissy sick?” He asked.
“Why?” Bette asked.
“Because she hasn’t been to school all week.” He said.
“I don’t know buddy. Sissy isn’t very happy with me right now.” Bette told him. He leaned back against her.
“She loves you mommy.” He said.
“I know she does and I love her too. Did she tell you why she is staying with Aunt Al and Aunt Lilly?” Bette asked.
He nodded yes.
“But I don’t understand it all though. She said that you are two different people sometimes. She says she loves when you are mommy and wants to be with you all the time but when you turn into mom you are somebody she doesn’t like and can’t stand to be around. What does she mean when she says that?”
“I am not positive sweetie I will let you know as soon as I find out.” She said.
“Okay.” He agreed.
“How would you like to go see Aunt Alice for awhile?” Bette asked.
“Sure.” He said and got up.
Lilly’s House
Bette stood at the front door with Teddy . She hesitated to ring the bell. Teddy rang the door bell. Lilly opened the door.
“Bette what are you doing here?” She asked.
“Is Jess okay? I know she hasn’t been to school in a week.” Bette said.
“Bette come in. We need to talk.” She said.
“Okay.” She said.
“Hey Teddy why don’t you go into the den I think Jess has the Play Station hooked up.” Lilly said.
“Okay.” He said and ran into the other room. He and Ian rarely got to play it.

I am not sure what Bette and Tina might do but I know what Jess needs to do and that is grow up!! When people have a big family and careers and all, its a little hard to focus on one person 24/7. Jess has had a good life,loved and indulged and this just makes her sound like a spoiled brat. Parents are never perfect but to hurt them in this way is just wrong. Good story, really evokes emotions!!

Amazing chapter! I think Bette finally starting to get the picture of what Jess wants from her. Cant wait for next chapter!

Jess, Bette and Tina all need to take a look at what is happening to them and their family. Jess just wanted her true mommy back and she wanted her brothers to know that mommy and not a shell of herself. Bette just wanted her little girl back only now Jess is a young lady with different needs. Hopefully, they all can work it out so that all the kids and adults can benefit from the family as a unit.
Hopefully this will put everyone on the right track again.
