Life with Mom and Tina Ch 65

    It read.

You don’t always have to have a reason for liking a piece of art. Sometimes you just like it and that is all the reason you need.

Bette stood up quickly and scanned the room. Someone exited the auditorium.

“Nicole will you continue please I will be right back.” Bette said and handed the remote to her TA.

“Sure.” She said. Bette quickly exited the auditorium after the person. The she couldn’t find them. They were no where to be found. She gave up and went back in the class.

Bette’s assistant met her at the door. Bette was walking slowly. She looked depressed.

“Yes what is it?” She asked.

“There was a rather large delivery for you.” Kathy said.

“Okay what was it.” Bette said as they entered her office. Andy’s painting was sitting on the table on one side of the room. “Did you know who sent it?” Bette asked anxiously.

“No but it arrived via a courier about half an hour ago. This came with it.” She handed Bette a card that had the same phrase as the index card.

    “Jess.” She said to herself.

    “I’m sorry?” Kathy asked.

“Oh nothing. I thought this painting had been lost.” She said.

“I don’t recognize it who is the artist?” Kathy asked.

“The father of my children.” Bette said.

“Oh I didn’t know.” She said.

“Will you excuse me for a moment I have to make a phone call.” Bette said.

“Sure.” Kathy said and left closing the door behind her.

Bette walked to the desk and picked up the phone. She dialed Tina.

“Carter Pictures Tina Kennard’s office. How may I help you?” Caroline said.

“Caroline I know she is in a meeting but I need to speak to her its important.

Bette told Tina what had happened in the class room and about the painting. They both agreed to discuss the meaning of the clues Bette had received.

Bette pulled her chair in front of the painting. She didn’t move form that spot until Teddy ran in.

“Mommy. Look what I made for you.” He said handing her a clay elephant.

    1. I am not sure what Bette and Tina might do but I know what Jess needs to do and that is grow up!! When people have a big family and careers and all, its a little hard to focus on one person 24/7. Jess has had a good life, loved and indulged and this just makes her sound like a spoiled brat. Parents are never perfect but to hurt them in this way is just wrong. Good story, really evokes emotions!!

    2. Jess, Bette and Tina all need to take a look at what is happening to them and their family. Jess just wanted her true mommy back and she wanted her brothers to know that mommy and not a shell of herself. Bette just wanted her little girl back only now Jess is a young lady with different needs. Hopefully, they all can work it out so that all the kids and adults can benefit from the family as a unit.
