Life with Mom and Tina Ch 43

“I havent exactly made a final decision. But Jess made me realize that I wasnt ready to give it up yet.” Bette said.

“She 15 she doesnt get a say.” Tina said.

“This is a big deal for her just as much as it is for us.” Bette said.

“I know that but” Tina said.

“I know she asked me not to because she wants to run when she gets out of school or at least she does now.” Bette said.

“Okay but what if in 5 years she changes her mind.” Tina said.

“If she changes her mind we will sell it then but I wouldnt feel right selling it now knowing that she wants it. Besides its just as much hers as it is mine you know that. She was there from the beginning and she deserves the chance to have it if that is what she wants.” Bette said taking Tina in her arms.

“I know I just know you. You wont be able to stay away from it.” Tina said.

“Maybe I wouldnt have to stay away from it all together. It would be a great outlet for student artists to display there work. If anything we could always rent the building because it all paid for.” Bette said.

“I am sorry I got upset.” Tina said. Bette kissed her.

“I am sorry I didnt discuss it with you before.” Bette said.

“Is that why Jess has been so weird lately?” Tina asked

“I think it is part of it. I think she has been trying to figure out what she might want to do in the future. She knows that she wants to go to a school with a good softball team and a good art school. She wants to visit some on when we go east.” Bette said.

“Thats great. She knows that she doesnt have to decide now though right?” Tina said.

“I think so. I told her that it didnt matter what anyone else wanted. That it was completely her decision, and that we would she and I would stay a week or so later and visit the ones that arent close to your parents or Dads.” Bette said.

    1. Jess is one special child. Bette did an excellent job with her. Tina just stepped into the picture and gave her the home that Jess never quiet had. I hope that you will continue with this story.

    2. Wow, Jess is quite a young lady and a chip off Tina’s block, caring heart and compasion for others. Thanks for the post and really enjoying the story.

    3. Great chapter, Jess seems to be growing into a well balanced and responsible young lady. The factthat she doesn’t feel a need to tout her own horn for doing something good, speaks to hersense of self worth and inner strength. Good job B&T in raising this one. Please continue :o)

    4. Charmed, Truly am loving this terrific tale. Jess is a doll for giving up her time without reward from her friends and family. A real humanitarian. Thank you for this happy stiry. Your Loyal Fan.
