“Sarcasm, Samantha.”
“Levity, Bette.”
The wavy-haired heiress looked pointedly at her stalling bestfriend. “The truth, please.”
“Fine, but can you handle it?”
Bette had the gall to look offended. “Oh please, Samantha. Remember who you’re talking to.”
“That’s exactly what I’m afraid of.” Sam muttered. “You can’t handle criticism well.”
“I do too!”
Sam cocked an eyebrow.
“Fine, maybe I don’t.” Bette recanted gruffly. “But.. while I’m no longer denying that I did have a problem listening to.. well.. people’s unfair and misguided opinions of me or my work, I think my days of close-mindedness is a thing of the past. I’d like to believe I’ve matured.”
“Oh? In what way?”
“I can take criticism now.”
“Your shoes are hideous.”
“Fuck you!”
“…”
“That.. that was a fluke.” Bette scratched the side of her neck sheepishly, knowing she had fallen hook, line and sinker for that ruse. “Look, Sammy, just read it. I promise I won’t get violent if you don’t like it. I know it needs a little work anyway.”
“Okay.. fine..” Sam agreed with a sigh. As if she could’ve said no anyway. Still being on the cautious side, she discretely moved an inch away from her bestfriend just to be safe. Not that distancing herself would really help; Bette had a wide reach.
Sam unfolded the stationary and flattened it out with her palms. Bette’s vows were splattered all over the page in her neat script. She took a moment to admire how pretty her bestfriend’s handwriting was before she delved right into the deed of actually reading what the words said. Sam told herself that she’d take this task seriously; but much to her dismay, she hadn’t even made it past the first line before she choked on her own laughter.
Bette bristled. “Why, what’s wrong?”
“…”
“What?!”
“Dear Tina?!”
“…”
“B, are you kidding me?! ‘Dear Tina’? Seriously?”
Bette folded her arms, immediately going on the defensive. “What’s wrong with it?”
“You can’t start your vows with that.”
“Why not?”
“It’s lame.”
“It’s not.”
“These are your vows, not a sappy love letter.”

Your last update was so long ago.I have read JTG from start to finish after it was recommended to me.It has been a most enjoyable read.One of the best FF i have read.I really hope you can find it in you to finish it off.I just can’t imagine what you will have happen on their actual Wedding Day laughs a plenty i would imagine so please post very soon.x

I hadn’t read this story since the first time it came out and I just have to say that re-reading it from begining to finish was just as enjoyable as I remember! This story is by far one of my favourite stories on this site and in existence.
Although I was a little sad to see that Part 3 of the wedding road trip never made an update. I would love to see this story continued one day. Thank you for your wonderful writing!
